Thanks Kaori for adding my time and sorry to kick you out the top 8. It was a fun week because you kicked me twice out the top 8 too

Thanks G for explaining your lines and BRs. If I am not mistaking, I am using the same method! Its strange you are still so much further ahead?

So to be sure: I take the first right turn on the inside to be able to hit 2 speedpads, then hitting another 2 speedpads before taking the left side hairpin. Then the speedpad on the the right before going down and hitting 3 speedpads in the tunnel hitting the next speedpad while sideshifting and BR then BR again. Hitting 3 speedpads and BR when going down into the tight turn to the left, hitting 2 more speedpads and sideshift to the right while BR taking the right side of the track. Hitting the speedpad on the rightside of the track and then all the speedpads on the left. Sideshift on the last speedpad and taking the last turn left with 2 speedpads onto the finish. I also tried and BR from the last bump, but its slower then just taking the turn tight and hitting the 2 speedpads.

Take the last turn tight... and BR (landing on the 2 last speedpads), it's faster !

42.79 is my first offering to get the party started!
Edit: MENGKESHI is my PSN, if anyone wants to add me as a friend to share ghosts that would be cool

Hey guys, also been adding a few people and would love to join in with this, great idea!

Yasir_Said is my PSN, so far 43.49s. Hopefully this isn't cheating but can anyone tell me if a second BR is possible after the narrow bridge shortcut? So far, the only "sneak" BR I can do is near the start with that slight bump...

    Anyway awesome thread!

Sorry Mangaroo I didn't know it was you who send me this invite
Please feel free to send me another one.
I also have a new friend in my list now : Mengkeshi

Back to challenge I am not a master at doing hard BRs so I can't tell you Mangaroo if this one is 'do-able', in my last run I was only doing the 'sneaky' one you mention plus the one at the big drop.

And yes! I agree this an awesome thread, pointing out the unique friendly community feature of 2048, reminds me the good ol'time of the Pure weekly challenge

No worries Asayyeah, will re-add you, thanks!

Oh man, leungbok, was really hoping it wasn't possible as I can't see it ever happening even by accident...I fear it is the little bump just after the narrow bridge as well - which ends up being EVEN narrower at its exist due to that tree! No BR after the triple boost at the end of the lap afaik.

Managed to get the first 'sneak' BR that me and asayyeah were talking about by going in the centre of the track and holding Down just before the bump - was quite pleased with that >)

Definitely agree this is an awesome thing for the community, recommended the thread and challenges to a friend as well, although not sure if he is too shy to post yet, still newly hooked.

Thanks for adding me on psn guys! It's an honour!

That barrel roll before the 3 speed pads is the bit that screws up my laps too. There seems to be a bump in it somewhere that makes it easier if you go from left to right - well that helps me anyway, but the few times I do the roll and hit all the speed pads, I get too excited and screw up the rest of the lap!

42.46 is my latest, hope to take it down some notches! Congratulations on the great times Leung and Asa!

EDIT: I mean before the 4 speedpads!

EDIT: Ooops I think I'm talking about the bump, not after the shortcut... which would be insane!

EDIT: I got a friend request which mysteriously vanished when I opened it. Sorry if anyone has added me and not been ignored - it was not intentional! Also can anyone tell me how to upload a ghost to near? Thanks!

I thought I'd hit it more often as well from going left to right but still only really pull it off when I am right in the middle and have to do it pre-emptively just as I'm about to go over the bump. Still can't pull off the narrow bridge one you masterful bastards, would love to see a video of that after the challenge perhaps? You can save half a second side shifting off the third and fourth speed pads and go over to the left on the shallower part of the ramp. Stick to the side after the easy barrel roll as well...that's about all the tips I've picked up so far.

Managed to drop it to 43.16, still not broken into 42s, must have been some really impressive runs guys.

To get the ghost onto near I think you have to upload it as soon as you are done playing, so to get a new ghost just run a lap, hit the end race button and on the next screen which you usually just tick to return to the menu - on the left side is a button labelled "near".

Oups! I just realized we were not talking about the same BR.
The one I found 'sneaky' is the last BR on the straight line before you cross the finish , after the 3 speed pads. An easy one for pro BRs pilots but to me

On a side note related to 2048 and internal view : It's always a pleasure and a blast (especially through A+) to race with internal view, one regret tho : few of you guys were mentionning BRs were harder not to do but when landing on the ground to keep your line good : this problem seems to me even worst while racing internal. Before with previous BR-iteration Wipeouts when you get used to the crazy flip screen while BR it was OK, your ship lands where it supposed to. About 2048 it's completely different your ship 'swings' through the air and may land everywhere if you don't manage to get some 'physical point of view' that can you fix your eyes on (like a static point of reference) and then knowing exactly where you gonna land but it's almost impossible here because the whole vita screen is moving! so atm it's just a matter of luck : most of the time i screw my laptime and rarely I am performing like I want.
Let's get another regret from Internal view : the lack of visibility of your 'backward opponents'. And don't tell me the radar location with red points becoming bigger when opponents are closer is a genius idea, especially when you can't remap your buttons ( try to use rear view while racing A+ challenge )
I know we are maybe 10% of pilots racing internal view : we are a niche from an already niche game but it could be cool to get a driving mirror when you race against friends or AI ( no need for Speed laps)

For the benefit of slower pilots such as myself and thanks to the extremely helpful ghosts of yourself and leungbok, I found a very easy method to pull off this final barrel roll - Nose down on the second speedpad, nose up on the third and final one - voila you are now flying high in the air!!

EDIT: I love racing with internal view too, it's so much more exciting! But much harder to get good racing lines for me! :S

Thanks for accepting the friend request Asayyeah, I also sent one to BADTEST who I think is leungbok but I have the feeling you guys are reaching the PSN cap on friends list but worth a try as I usually only have one slower ghost to race against who is familiar.

And thanks for the tip mengkeshi! Actually pulled it off a few times now! nose down on the second, up on the third....can't do both barell rolls in the same run yet...working on it! I was thinking there was a BR off the narrow bridge itself just at the dip of the second speed pad that we nose down on...this way is much better. Edit: literally just managed to pull off that BR i was talking about after the bridge...maybe can do a chain off of it - first things first for me though.

Do you guys air brake for the first barell roll? with that little bump after the big Q sign

Also just realised it is so much quicker to go on the right hand side of the big split, will get a new record for sure..just after community and big bang theory

At Mangaroo: I deleted your friend request because there was not an introduction of who you are! Now I know it's you, so just sent me another so I can add you. Greetz Mad-Ice.

No lap time yet, I have been working in the garden for the whole week. We now have such a Nice terras with picknick table and also a nice grassy field. So everyone is welcome at our place to drink some
