I just found this online http://www.yourgamercards.net/game/157 and apparently only 1.74% of the people who own Wipeout have achieved Transcendance!
Also it tells you how hard each trophy is... which i think is so untrue! for example - "Execute your first successful barrel roll." - Estimated Difficulty: Medium LOL

That is either reflective of how little/short a concentration span today's video game players have, or how wussy they are in regards to actually "Learning" a game.

It seems "instant trophy gratification" is the point.

I'm sort of getting into that "Trophy Hit" myself, but only because that's pretty much all the satisfaction your labial to get out of today's games.

Where's the "in-game" Challenge?
The one that you beat, then it opened up a whole newer/harder/faster level?
You don't get that any-more.
I remember beating the "Piranha Challenge" for the first time in WO 2097.
YAH!, It opened up new tracks and a whole new speed class!

Give me that sort of satisfaction in a game now days.....please!

I feel that Trophies somewhat support modern game structure regarding in game content. Older game generations frequently required the player to beat a certain mode/level/whatever to unlock new in game content. These days, most (if not all) of what the game has to offer is available from the get go, such as all the characters and vehicles (Tekken 6, Forza).

Unlocking in-game content is usually more satisfying than getting a trophy, but when developers make good trophy challenges it can be just as rewarding. WOHD trophies set such excellent challenges, which is why Transcendence is so freaking satisfying

I want to platinum Demon's Souls, but the trophies I'm left with require farming for upgrade stones, which isn't appealing at all. It's a good example of bad trophy challenges, because the game (and Dark Souls) is all about how rewarding it is to overcome each hard level and boss. Seriously that game needed a "beat the game without dying" trophy, instead of 10 upgrade stone bronze trophies.

Depends on how people see trophies I guess; some get them purely for trophy count and boasting rights, others aim for a trophy for the genuine challenge it sets.

That's not as ludicrous as the Transcendence one. Classed as 'Impossible", even though people have proven it to be possible. I don't think accuracy was on the minds of this site's creators.

I've seen that in many sites,but,as far as i know,Impossible is a word for something that isn't possible,but seems I'm wrong or the internet is like SMB 3's 4th world : Everything larger

I don't know how accurate those figures are.
Is it reflecting the data collected from trophy card holders only?
I think after 3 years and several freebee give-aways of the game there would be more than 81,000 people that have it.

When you see things like the Double Kill trophy listed as very hard [you can get that in one eliminator match] you can't take the difficulty ratings seriously.

Please, if you want your name added to the list, PLEASE DON'T copy and paste the list with your name just added to it, it takes up far too much space, irritates the moderators and the list get's well out of whack.
We had 39 people over the space of a year end up missing off the list posted because of people doing this.
Just post that you have Transcended and I will go through the added posts and update the list once a month at latest.

I got the game in October 2008...and Trascended yesterday, 10th December 2010, after finally dedicating a few days to the game.
