i tried for a few laps but i can't do a boost br start...
i have motion sensor off, should i turn motion to pitch only?

also can't do the double br after the boost on the hill...

i guess some pilots are just better than others so i'll stop trying. lol

Personally I fail the boost br start quite often, it's not very easy.
I use motion sensor - pitch only, but not for the boost br start, the motion sensor has quite a delay.

New time: 29.55 - 7BRs - 13SPs - Piranha HD (double BR onto overpass but missed some SPs )

no seriously yeldar, what i mean is their are many br's in SL that are really not too pratical to do in a real race....well maybe not for you..but for me they are...many sl br's are very risky and not safe and unless you are a true wipeout machine like yourself and they can cost players wins through inconsistant screw ups..

in theory if you are a master of all of them go for it provided you can keep your energy up..
but i have seen many good player defeat themselves by trying to pull off a silly br and end up crashed or simply just play on low energy levels only to be killed by a weapon or a collision with another racer or a wall..

i think the players who request a br free speed lap may want to see how their line compares to a top player..for myself i simply just do not have the time to learn these advanced br techniques they require much skill and practice..

but saying that i would never want to see br vanish from SL as it is what wipeout hd is all about but it would be good just to try a Br free trail just to see how much the br makes to players race times and how a average player would fare aginst a top player..

There was a league called pressure created here by players that thought their lines were able to compete with top player's (those that are doing silly BR). There was only one or two event organised !
In avalon races every player is able to perform 5/6 BR... and who wins ? Yeldar, or Unctuous, or Saturn, or Tck... !! The same who wins on normal races with lots of BR to perform!

Of course you can't keep Barrel Rolling in a race as you would in Speed Lap or time trial. But then you can't keep grinding along the wall either, or have everything ripped away by an errant quake.

You can't consider TTs and SLs to be in the same kind of league as Races - you'll have people who are good at one and not at the other. My speciality is Zone/Zone Battle: anyone who's raced me in Avalon knows I'm hopeless at races and my record on this thread is evidence that I suck hard at SL/TTs. But surely this is a gaming forum and we're here to have fun, regardless of how fast we are. Nobody's forcing you to do this, Jasmin. You could go play races and leave us be if you'd prefer.

Supposing in an Eliminator you were forbidden suddenly to use Quakes and Plasmas. That's the equivalent of banning Barrel Rolls - it's yet another weapon in the arsenal of skilled players.

Managed to get a 29.49 - 5BRs - 14 pads - fury.Top 20, which isn't bad considering how many people have tried this before. Miles off the lead though.

sorry leungbok.i cannot see the relevance of your statement...

your appear to be implying that myself or others may think top players are not that good and that without br's, average players would be able to compete with them.

i can tell you that i do not think that and most players would also agree.
a top player who can pull off all the possible br's on a track should be more than likely capable of racing a very tight line.simple logic
