IMO, Avalon is a relaxing Event. Lot's of pilots under the influence of "stuff" lol It was always like this and it will always be XD

I certainly won't be under any influence, but I may feel drowsy as your play times are near the end of the day at my place(ie 11pm-12am)

I was messaging UB3R~JKP online and he had a great idea of making some Avalon awards other than the MVP. Seems like a good idea, so I'll list the ones he came up with soon.

I suppose it depends whether or not you want to reward people for consistency, outright speed or dedication. Look at the examples below, and pick who you think is the more deserving winner.

    e.g.

Feisar plays ten races, and gets 10 silvers
AG-Systems plays three races and gets 3 golds
Harimau plays twenty races and gets 20 bronzes
Icaras plays ten races, and gets 3 golds, 7 DNFs

Personally I would call Feisar the winner for being dedicated and consistent, so maybe use a cummulative score?

^ Disagrees with above post. A ship is nothing, without the pilot - and the pilot is nothing without the skill and experience

I think the ship names are just there as an example, instead of using pilot names, like the game does for single player/offline stuff.

Anyway, as long as I can opt out of the league then that's fine. I'm kinda retired from international so not really up for a league, just fun.

Think I'm going to scrap the league idea. Thinking about it, it's actually a lot harder to pull off than I initially thought. I'll stick with the awards idea though, just for a laugh.

Prob be best to keep with the original method of previous Avalon events. Easier for all the hosts to keep track of. When hosting for hours straight with heaps of different people joining and leaving in the room.

New content in Avalon is good, like that endurance thingy that happened in one of the Avalons from a few seasons past. Hmm maybe a few eliminator events could do good, given if everyone had a good internet connection, which most dont.

Just out of interest - having watched SaturnReturn and Hellfire's videos on youtube of the previous events, it looks like it is HD ships only. Is that the case here or are we allowed Fury? Or is it Fury only?

Fury and HD ship can be used during Avalon. They where prob older vids before the Fury pack came out, thats why only the old HD ships with the blue ion trails can be seen.

I think that the league stuff is not needed. Why should we start another league when there are already a few? Avalon should be "just" a Big WipEout Event People having fun racing, attempting to beat some records and going drunk lol

    Thats got me thinking.

What about when hosting the Avalon room/s, get someone to host a voice chat room as well. So after people have played Avalon for non stop, can stop and have a pit stop and chill out session in the voice chat room, have a yarn for about half an hour before going back into the room/s of Avalon. Good hey

    Echoed ^

There'll have to be a dedicated video-chat host, so anyone who has suffered brain melt from too much avalon, can PSN message the chat-host and get an ivite - which will lead to some good old mindless banter (it's all we're good for after brain meltingz )

Hey if we did that at my house then you could point the webcam at the screens and broadcast a bit of Avalon over PSN

Would be cool even though we all know that pit-stops went out of fashion after Fusion

Well apparently Andybob and I sound the same according to anyone who isn't from the UK

Right so (if you guys can bring some spare PS3s (and ACE bring your mic) ^_^ ) we'll have a dedicated video host at my house and we'll broadcast some 3-way Avalon action over PSN. Youtube won't know what's hit it!

Yeah that is true. If the host who created the chatroom leaves the entire chatroom closes down, there has to be a dedicated host for a period of time or something before someone changes over

I did suggest this to Asa on messenger before the last European Wipeout Convention. He never got back to me, so it never happened.
