RE: Blackburn and Hobbits...Kinda true... actually, largely true!
I used to be engaged to girl in Blackburn, she was really pretty, nice, sexy all that - and she loved to cook (Indian food
) but it didn't work out for a big reason. I was only living in Blackburn temporarily back then, and when I moved back to London we had a long distance relationship (300 odd mile away from eachother) so we didn't see each other much.
Bad move, coz me moving to London led to her finding someone else to fill in the gap (boo :-) - she thought I wouldnt find out but I got peeps everywhere and they are loyal as blood. SO, one day I'm on the phone to mate who lives near Blackburn (in Preston) and he gave me the lowdown. I didn't wanna beleive it but he said he wouldn't let me marry her coz he KNOWS she is CHEATING - I went mad at him. He kinda expected it but remained adamant (good friend is my Charlie) ... so I played a lil game.
I used to visit her once a month (weekend) and she'd show me love etc wot not, so I was really quite confused... but when she went to the shop, I looked through her handbag (don't hate me) she left in my car and say a few texts that spelt it all out very very clearly for me. She was cheating with some dude called Salim or something like that... anyway, I had the info I wanted, now it was time to play MY GAME...
here's what I did - we had 3 months left to our wedding and I played dumb fiance right to the last week before my wedding, and then I went to Blackburn unannounced. I turned up at her parents house (where she also lived) and demanded to have a word with them... I told them what I had discovered and ended with a comment which shook up her family... here's what I siad to her dad "My sister is the same age as your dughtrer right?"
"right" replies her dad.
"The difference between my sister and your daughter is that, my sister is like Gold Dust - she's valuable - whereas your daughter is just dust - now clean up your mess" and I left her house - however, half her Indian family had arrived (as they do a week before the wedding) just then, and the schit really did hit the fan. They accused me of slander and worse, but I stood head and shoulders above all of them - the bloody hobbits! My fiance comes running up to me, begging forgiveness but I just looked at her dad and said "How can I be lying when the guilt is written all over her face - she broke my heart, now she's breaking yours" and I went home...
Anyway - you might find this funny, but I've been in love 5 times now, am used to my heart breaking... am with a girl atm who I love to bits but we're having issues also. Life - what a trip
they say you live and you learn - but fools fall in love all the time
