    @Jas:
    1) You just type "=" in the cell where you want the answer to appear, and then click on the cell where it is calculated and then press enter.

    2) Not sure, all I can suggest is that you go forth into the garden of Google and garner knowledge from the cornucopia that is the interweb

    For the random number generator, you can place
    Code:
    =Rand()*(b-a)+a
    in a field where b is the largest number you want to generate and a is the smallest. If you want to make it an integer, use
    Code:
    int(expression)
    so =int(Rand()*(b-a)+a)
    You could then record a macro to recalculate this field by pressing f9 (i think?)
    Set this macro to a button and bam

    Recent happenings in this thread have all been a bit more like troubleshooting than conversation. Does no-one ever talk any more? Someone must have something interesting to say.

    How about that budget, eh? Scorcher!

    Default AG-train in Norway!

    Ok, not quite. A runaway set of empty flatbed train-cars weighing 31 tons each just rammed their way through Oslo harbor and leveled a few buildings and killed three people. According to witnesses it was going so fast the rear-most cars weren't touching the tracks. That's 31 tons of steel flying...

    Reminds me of an old Saxon song - Princess of the night. Heavy metal song about a train .

    The Budget is crap, 10% on cider WTF! :-

    The extra child allowance should about cover it though

    Extra child allowance? I don't even have one and some people are allowed more? That's not fair!

    The stamp duty thing is supposed to make things easier for first time buyers, but I really don't think it's all that helpful. I actually think those with money to invest will be more likely to buy the cheap properties and there'll be less on the market. That's what happened with the last cut, all the cheap houses I had bookmarked vanished really quickly, not necessarily from investors buying them but I reckon it will be those people who have the funds ready and are waiting for a bargain that will snap them up.

    i know that the budget covered more important things, but... 1% raise on fags, 2% raise on beer, spirits and wine and... 10% raise on cider?? what the ****?? makes no sense WHATSOEVER. we're not all sitting in parks with 3 litre bottles of white lightning accosting runners and birds and crying inside, and there's no reasoning behind the choice or the amount of the raise. i'm biased because i recently started drinking cider exclusively, at least when out, but really? **** them, i'm going to buy 30-40 ****ing bottles of kopparberg like a lunatic before the clock strikes sunday and then stash them at home. alternatively, i could cut down the amount i drink, but that's of course crazy talk

    I saw the pictures on the news yesterday - pretty scary... Nobody really expects to be hit by a free-falling freighttrain!

    Did they find the one that was missing?

    Strongbow already costs a fortune in a pub and now it's going to cost even more

    And they wonder why pubs are closing and people are switching to buying drinks in supermarkets...
