I wonder what sort of horrible time I'd need to wake up in the morning to make one of these

Looks like 7/8 A.M. to me...something like that. Possibly not too bad? Although that would be a Monday morning if it were a Sunday eve in Europe though, so it could be inconvenient.

I'm still practising at Pure myself. I await the European version of ad-hoc party to see if it's good for 8 players. If not I'll try the Japanese version.

For pure, even if ad-hoc party ver. euro allows 8 multiplayer's game, only 4 will be able to race online, because it's the pure's lan limit !

No mate, the limit of the game is 8, but from 6 players, the races are "disrupted", like this exclusive Pure naughty weapon : the disruptor which can reverse your directions !

I see lot of people have problems to create a japanese account, maybe we should create a shared account to download japanese adhoc party.

For me japanese version is better. But I thank US version, I know more options of adhoc party !

Hello Stevie, when we are 4 players or less, we can play in adhoc party US. I heard too adhoc party will be available in Europe the 22nd december.

Have you succeed to do working US version ?
The only difference in japan adhoc party is the inversion of X & O buttons.

Is there any sort of external gathering to organize Ad Hoc races? We need to set up some kind of chat or something... either AIM or using the WoZ IRC channel. It's hard to get a group of people together on the forums alone, but maybe a dedicated event thread might help.... People would have to agree of which version EUR/USA/JAP and figure out a specific time far in advance :/

Not yet though, I will try tonight.

X & O buttons?, hmm I`m not too sure about that to be honest.

    You are right AG-Wolf.
I think add ourselves in our PS3 friend list can be a good solution
