so where does this record come from never seen such a bug, maybe there was a ultra-skilled player who used your ps3

shapealot, if you think Opera is great now, just wait till you find out how much you can customise it. And you can even go farther than just using the built-in tools while it's running. You can also rewrite the menus by loading the files into a text editor. I rewrite just about all the menus to put the most used functions at the top, and also comment out the functions I don't use with a semi-colon at the beginning of the instruction line. This keeps the context menus small and convenient, and streamlines your browsing, cuts down on wasted motion and time.

    /end Opera fanboi speech

Opera looks super clean, very pretty interface.
I also noticed it scrolled smoothly, my website looks much better with a
    smooth scroll.

I just discovered how to do the same Firefox,
enter "about:config" in the address bar, then confirm,
then Filter = "general.smoothScroll" => make it true instead of false,
it requires more CPU that's why it's disabled by default.

    As I said already:
"I have no idea how this one has come about".

Believe me, there has never and never will be any ultra skilled player using my PS3 - just a guy with way too much time on his hands.

To compare browsers again (it's relevant to this topic because we want
the website to go fast ...):

Sun Spider javascript performance (tests a bit too much, like things I'm not
using at all like 3d calculations)
    http://www2.webkit.org/perf/sunspide...er-driver.html

    Code:
    Safari 4.0.2 : 795.4ms +/- 0.7%
    Chrome 2.0 : 880.0ms +/- 3.6%
    Firefox 3.5.2 : 1518.0ms +/- 1.6%
    Opera 10.00 : 4284.4ms +/- 2.0%
    IExplorer 7.0 : 40534.4ms +/- 23.5%
Look!! Internet Explorer takes 40 seconds, when all others take between
0.8 second and 4 seconds, it's an order of magnitude slower than everything
    else!!

A more relevant test with Jquery (which the website uses, however there
are many approximation errors in the results, so they vary by +- 50%!!,
    still gives an idea ...)
    http://mootools.net/slickspeed/

    Code:
    Safari : 42 ms
    Opera : 60 ms
    Firefox : 95 ms
    Chrome : 95 ms
    IExplorer : 339 ms
Again, all browsers are doing fine, more or less the same, except the good
    old Internet Explorer.

If only the speed was the only issue ... it's not very compatible with today's
standards either, which explains the bugs encountered and why the logos
    look so ugly on it...

    So, everyone, please upgrade
I think Firefox and Opera and Chrome allow you to import all the settings
so you won't have to recreate your bookmarks etc.

have encountered a strange thing since the updated rankings came out.
i cant select gamemode or track
when i click game mode this appers:
    ALL
    SPEED
    RACE
    ZONE
and when trying to select track i get this:
    ALL
    FORWARD
    REVERSE
    ZONE
none of these buttons do anything so i wondered what is the reason.

edit: i use opera btw. but never had any problems until after the update.

Get the Opera 10.0 version, the problem will be gone.
It's a bug in Opera itself, even well documented on their own bug tracking page.

Oh yeah, pirhapac, about Internet Explorer logging you out
(well I assume you're using IE right?)

    1)
You need to enable cookies, go to:
Internet Options => Privacy => Accept Cookies

    OR

    2)
Add the website to the list of trusted sites!!

Then the site will work fine.

Safari, Opera, etc. maybe be great browsers but it makes sense to optimize the site for the browser that people use the most, ie IE

Wouldn't making it a little easier for people to keep using crap just prolong the existence of crap?

Actually, as of this summer, Firefox is the most used browser, not IE.

superpj, actually it's not even an opinion, it's a fact, i'm not even talking about
the IE interface (which I find crap <= opinion), but simply about its speed
and compliance, which IS crap. Do you realize that IE is so slow that even if
you used a 20GHz pc (if that existed), it still wouldn't render pages as fast
as the other browsers on a 2GHz pc, and anyway, the rendering would be
    wrong!

I've noticed some people turn aggressive when we talk about IE. No need to convince me that it's crap, I like it and it works correctly on my PC Now I didn't want to launch a debate pro/anti IE.
