I am all that is man! I finally got this beast not 20 minutes ago. Like I've said I cheated to get the trophy in the first place so I went back and did it properly. It was pretty intimidating to start off and I was stuck at around zone 67 for a few days. I just got the airbreaker trophy yesterday and I think that helped my confidence alot.

I was still at 25 shield when I hit 75 but lost control in that little narrow valley with the boost pad and ping ponged to my death. Still I'm so stoked!

    Congrats Diddymal

Hope it felt that much sweeter doing it properly !!

I've dropped about 30 places on the AP leaderboard in the last week or so which probably adds up to how long that video has been on youtube.

Its probably my weakest track anyway so not concerned, I just hope it gets sorted.

Well, for some of us it is... I hadn't played Zone for a looong while, but the re-appearing of the glitch made me want to give it a go again.

I only do a couple of runs at a time, but already on my second try I reached Sub-sonic for the first time ever. Granted, I died in flames not long after, but this gives me hope none the less I was pretty stoked when I managed my first perfect lap on Super Zen!

So Hemi, just let the Zone mode be for a while, get plenty of on-line multiplayer action going and in a week or two revisit Zone.

(and no, I'm not claiming I'll ever get Zeus, but I am painstaikingly getting closer)

This trophy is worthless in the sense of what the trophy thing on PS3 is
all about (whatever it is). Doing 75 zones is not worthless, of course.

@ mic-dk - Sorry, didn't mean to sound patronising. I just meant that with practice it gets easier. Try doing 3 or 4 runs after another (know it can hurt the eyes a bit) but you should see improvement. With Zone, its a case of getting used to high speeds and the necessary lines. I find it helps to have your airbrake sensitivity up high (around 90) and in some ways you have to brake less at the faster zones (very light taps). With AP you should only be braking on the first corner and by the part with the 3 V speedpads even on mach1. PS is the man to speak to for beyond 80 odd !!

@ PS - all I meant was that its not invalid for me as I did it properly. Wish you would get that click of the trophy every time you did it on a new course tho. That would be sweet.

that would also require "liking" the whole Zone experience. Me and my girl aint much for this whole Zone thing. Us thinks we gonna like the new zone battle mode in fury, but normal zone never really catched our interest. Never say never though... might pick it up someday.

Silverfox Oh, no offense taken. I was pretty much trying to say the same thing as you. If you want the trophy, then practice, practice, practice and if you seem stuck, take a week or two off and go do something else.

Hemi To be frank, I don't really like Zone either - regular MP carnage is more my thing. But even if I have to slave at this for the next 5 years I want to earn my Zone Zeus, partly because I care about WOHD but mainly to be able to face all those here who already Trancended the hard way.

Trancended - I gave that up a long time ago. For me its impossible, my girlfriend however...she could pull it off.

They look easier, because of large curves and wide track...

anyway : my best WAS 69, i just got it on first try today!!!

    Zone 75
    perfect : 35 (oups)
    laps 39
    perfect laps 8 (only)
    max speed 1451 km/h
    pads : 455
    time : 12.35.39
    distance : 199.529km
    score : 158270

Well, I made another honest attempt at this trophy today. Three tries: The first I tied my PB at 55, then I hit 60 (woo-hoo!), then 60 again. I must say, seeing that slight improvement has given me a bit of hope that I might actually be able to accomplish what I previously felt was impossible for me. I will continue to practice and hope for the best!

A track easier than AP for Zone?

    Easier =

    Harder =

Imagine Zone on Gare'd Europa, Vostok or Silverstream? Now that would be nuckin futz!

Of all the changes of the colour schemes during ZONE,the intense Black & White one you get from 60 onwards is the most distracting for me,I've had 100% shield energy at 60 numerous times.

Then it's like Nelson Muntz [Simpsons] came up right in front of my face and took a photo using a flash ,Bammo! cop that!HaHa stuffed you up again.

Fuking Oath, i would love that. Zone 65+ on Gare you'll be flying into the stratosphere on the main staight jump. I want to see these tracks in 1080p rendering that'll be sweet.

Word. I'd pay Fury's price for a DLC only containing Gare d'Europa and Valparaiso in both directions. Imagine that lush jungle environment and mayan temple in full HD 1080p... *drools*
