i try to like fusion, i really do...but if i play it more than half an hour i get angry!!! lol.

i don't have a video capture card, so all my wipeout video's are made with me recording the TV/PSP...it works ok for TV but is rubbish for PSP.

I will still try to make a video or two on this release though!!!

LOL, i just gave a call to my retailer, he wasn't aware of the release today, he had to check 2 times his listing to finally find he received 3 wipeout pulse for ps2. LOL, more than 120 000 000 ps2 units in the world. And not even a review or announcement or whatever else, for such killer app. Thanks El Patas for the vids on youtube! Anyway, I'll buy my ghost game in 30mn

I don't have a 60Hz TV, and i have to play in 50Hz like always.

Probably in 60Hz i could see the game like HD, same faster.

emerald dragoon: I can't believe that this game does not comes out first in the country which was created.

EDIT: And something for all who like me are been playing with wipeouts only for PS1 and PS2. This game has not the possibility to custom the controls to put L2 and R2 buttons as the air brakes. It has to be L1 and R1 or anothers, but for some reason the game does not recognize these buttons.

lol, i'd even drive to liverpool and get the game, saying thanks to whoever did the port while i was there (and ask for a quick go on Fury too!!!) if it was easier.

my order with Amazon has fallen through due to their supplier been rubbish anyway, so i've had to re-order and might not get it till monday/tuesday now.

getting this game has been a nightmare...i've never had so much trouble confirming a games existence...then actually getting the damn thing!!!

IMPORTANT for Uk shoppers wanting Pulse PS2:

called my local GAME store and this is not gonna be released in-store AT ALL!

online only. so if you want this i suggest ordering it from an online retailer soon.

and all online retailers have put it back till the 26th in the uk. I'm sorry but that's it. now im really ****** off, this is ridiculous!!!!!!!

I ordered it online from Amazon a few days ago and today I received an e-mail saying it's going to be delayed. They cited distributor problems as to why they couldn't send it. Here's hoping it's out before the end of the month and if not at least out before Fury.

Sony has a very strange way of marketing their games, they just seem to slip out unnoticed .

Don't they just! It's just too damn frustrating - I went to the GAME store around the corner from where I work during lunchbreak - and this really sucks, the Manager hasn't heard of wipeout - thought it was a game based on the TV show total wipeout (what a cobbler) in case no1 knows what "Total Wipeout" is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufc030OfmE0 note - Richard Hammond in a party hat - arms akinmbo - making a prat out of himself lol...

Back on topic though - and yes Amorbis - they have no idea what a marketing strategy for their games is supposed to be - and are too pigheaded to follow the examples of their competitors product lines... go figure man...

Or is it a case of Sony wanting to spend their marketing budget on Hardware and not what they consider Software (ie: games)... it just makes no sense to me!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
The game is available only in Europe, and only online in the country it was made in. It was a stealth release, shops don't even know it exists, and will probably never see the light of day in other countries.

I'll leave this neutral face as a summation of my laughing and crying at the same time.

I called some toyshop in the area. They have it on their list of PS2 games, but they have to order Pulse PS2 themselfs because it will not ship together with the other titles coming out. Flabergasted!! But if it is true it will not be released in the USA, then we Europeans have to find a way to help our friends in the USA to be able to play Pulse on PS2.

I'm trying to figure out a way to play it.
It isn't legal (And I won't openly discuss this, you can figure it out for yourselves), but so is the marketing strategy Sony is currently using for this release. (I find it's perfectly stupid tbh, it's even worse than Pulse's first release on PSP xD)
God damn it Sony, make my life more simple and allow me to buy the game in the first Futureshop or BestBuy I walk in! The game's already in english, make it NTSC by forcing 60Hz mode and ship it worlwide.

EDIT: Here's are screenshots of a well known track to show how nice it looks on the PS2 (Or should look).
I really wish this was released in the US. I would buy it instantly, even if there is no online.

Mmmh...is so strange, too bad the game is out now in 26th, i
don't understand why have problems with the distributor, this game
is not distributed in all Europe by SCEE?
    Strange...

Here is the online game.uk for buy it:

    http://www.game.co.uk/PS2/Racing/~r3...WipEout-Pulse/

And for the people of ntsc regions, the Pal game have the selector of 60hz
for ntsc tv's/panel's, you only need modify your Ps2 for play imports,
exists various ways for made this, and buy online the game in 26th.

I have my Pal V3 console modified for play my original ntsc imports from
    USA and Japan.

    Best regards.

    You can't modify a PS3.
I want to play this in 1080p on my PS3.

I shouldn't have to modify a console because of this BS. I want to walk in a store, see it on a shelf, and get it for my region.
This isn't possible? I'll try to use emulators (Which doesn't work so well.)

So, I guess I'll resort to playing Pulse on my computer with Remote Joy on my PSP. Yay. Shame, because the PS2 version looks miles better. More details on the ships, the tracks, the weapon effects...

EDIT: Well I finally got this thing working. Which makes me wish I could buy the game even more... Heres a zone screenshot. Same track as before, 'cause I haven't got memory cards yet.
Haven't shown any ships because of a nasty shadow glitch. Which makes me wish I could buy the game even more, so I play without glitches, but I've already said I wanted to buy the game over 9000 times. Can't unfortunately, I do not have a PAL PS2, and cannot buy online... I truly hate what I've done to play this game but I have no choice, yet... Liverpool if you're reading please make this happen (Release PS2 Pulse worldwide without stealth release).

It's WipEout Pulse, it looks cool, plays cool, so for those of you who can, go get it. If you haven't tried WipEout Pulse because you didn't have a PSP, now's the chance (It feels much better with a Dualshock, playing with a Dualshock on the PC )

I recorded another video again from the game, but this time
i encoded it first in Flash format, this is the format Youtube uses,
and now when i uploaded the video, is not lost too much frames
and do not runs all the video in a continue slodown.
Also have a little better quality.

I made various attempts for play a decent gameplay in the class
of Phantom with the Qirex, is so very fast, and difficult of A.I. set
    in Medium.

This is the link of the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq0m3Sn46dM

    Regards.

Not being rude or anything but what was the point of releasing this game? They could have better used the resources into making Pulse PS2 on the New WO game or FURY expansion pack.

I mean limited on-line multiplayer support? Jeeze it's worst than the PSP counter part already! I guess this is one for the collectionists out there.

I'm not the biggest Pulse fan but I still want to buy it. The question I have is where the hell is it? When is it out in the UK? I've checked major retailer websites and only 2 are listing it so much for cashing in on the PS2 no ones selling it. Amazon have it for sale now but GAME says its not out for 6 days whats the deal?

EDIT: Ok never mind GAME has changed its website and it apparently selling it now, I'm off to investigate

FURTHER EDIT: Ok so I've just been to GAME, Comet, Curries, PC World, Argos, and Toys R Us none of which are stocking the game, can I just ask what the point of releasing it was? lol I can't see this cash in going very well

The guy in GAME had the cheek to try and tell me it's a PSP game and not on PS2... I couldn't help but correct him on the spot, he wondered off after his manager tapped it into their computer and up it popped.

Game staff are greasy spotty types who think they know the world of gaming inside out - they prefer to sit up all night drinking White Diamond Cider and puffing on their cheap rolly ciggies, discussing things at a very anal level - not realising they are totally - moronically- and stupidly wrong about 90% of what they say/know... (ok - maybe not 90% that's taking it a bit too far)

The Game store I went into - the guy who served me thought wipeout was a tv show called total wipeout and had a rather bemused look on his unwashed mug when I explained that it was the best racing simulation ever - fastest too - and if you don't know, you better get to know "coz you are supposed to know"...

    Game Sucks!

Tell me about it, a couple of parents came in with their young son one day asking a member of staff how you put music on the PSP, he was clueless, I gave them the answers maybe I should have written it down for him as well
