a good choice, i will be joining you as soon as sony announce the slimline ps3...asuming they remember how to announce things at some point in the future.

I know there are no concrete details...but i have a slim psone and ps2 and i'm quite happy to wait, so by the time the slim ps3 is out, i can get wipeout with all it's dlc goodness in one go.

    fingers crossed, fall, this year.

my girlfriend has kinda hinted about getting me one for my bday, but I can't wait til August lol.

More than anything, I just wanna race my customs online, on a HDready TV.

the psp screen is too small for wipeout, and unsufferable during lag issues - especially if you have stigmatism in your right eye like I do. humph.

PS3 slim. the announcement will be made on the net. Nowhere else. We see HMV's and Tesco's ads when they have it in stock lol.

    1) when you hold foward on the stick the entire race, you are faster than staying flat the whole race

    2) it is difficult to do this, so people taped the analog stick foward, and steered with the dpad. When pitch back was needed, pitch back on the DPAD overode the analog stick being taped down. This resulted in times about 2 seconds faster than " real racing"

    3) Rob Foxx outlawed the technique basically stating that all controls must be done without taping the analog stick foward, do if you can do it manually, that is fine.

    4) It doesn't bother me that this is still in the game since I hold the controller like a freak, not to mention ps3 controllers that will work easier holding the stick foward all the time

    Thanks for the info.
Many thanks for the explanation, but i continue think this is
not a bug, and i don't bother about this thing.
Is possible Sony added this detail in the wipeout pulse.

I'm playing it and i enjoy a lot, and for online i have the whipeout hd, but
i don't love specially online gameplay, for me the best combination
is wipeout hd + wipeout pulse of Ps2 playing in a good big screen with
    a good big speakers.

I hope the content of HD Fury pack gos integrated with the game and not separated,
i don't like two ways separate for play wipeout hd.

    Regards.

El Patas, welcome btw, nice to have you here.

Wipeout is really so versatile, I prefer online, you prefer offline, someone prefer psp, another want TV, someone else like wipeout2097 only, etc... I guess pulse on PS2 could maybe be a success!

re: the pitch issue, maybe they didn't fix it because they see it as messing with the way the ship was meant to be controlled. Maybe... I don't know!

El Patas, i agree. owning both is a good thing!

with the Fury update, it is all built into HD, you load the game and come to a menu, comprising of two options, one on left, one on right, where you pick Fury (Red) or the original HD content (White) then it goes into whichever mode you selected.

going on the brief glimpse at the start of this movie...

but thats the last i will mention of it in this thread!!!!

I'm pretty sure the rest of the world doesn't exist. /sarcasm
Soooo, Sony: are you going to release this so I can buy it, or not?
Remember: I didn't pay for the Pulse DLC, so now's your chance. I will gladly not pay for it again if you don't give the chance to me though.

i don't have a video card in my pc, and the quality es very bad, sorry.

Also this is my first time i uploaded videos on youtube and seems the
frames are lost when youtube reencode the video because the races gos
in a slodown all the time, i don't know wich is the best way for encode the
    videos for upload in youtube.

I mean a little late since the release date. I saw some news long time ago saying that this PS2 port would be released in September of the past year.

The fps of the game are not so fluid than HD, for a 50Hz TV, but in any case it's ok.
But Metropia in Pulse PS2 is really another track, compared with the HD version. I feel it's like Korodera of the first WipEout. Moa Therma it seems to be more similar to the HD version.
    The game is cool anyway.

El Patas, bienvenido paisano, por cierto, si que se ven bien tus videos para estar hechos con una cámara digital y no con una captura del PC.

Is this fps dropdown in game or because of your camera? I don't think it's a camera.

    edit: ok, probably youtube's fault

    Only in Yurops.
For me it didn't come out... But hey, Sony doesn't want the money I could potentially give them. Blame them.

It looks better than the PSP version. Yes. Does it look better than Fusion? No.

And why you play in 50hz? this is always worse than 60hz, also exists
problems of framerate in 60hz in certain points and moments, but is sure
    in 50hz have more problems.

Hola gracias, tú crees que se ven bien? hombre no está mal supongo para
una cybershoot, lo suyo serÃ*a usar una tarjeta de video, pero es lo que hay.

As i mentioned, all is caused by my Sony cybershoot camera and youtube,
i don't lie, and off course nobody's can judge the visuals with this crappy videos.
I don't have nothing better for show you the game, sorry.

    You are serious?
You are playing this Ps2 version and comparing with Fusion?

I can't believe you are serious about this.

    Best regards.

No I've not played Pulse for PS2 yet. But from what I can see from the pictures and videos, Pulse is "only" updated concerning the bitmaps, not the geometry. Of course, Pulse's light effects (glowing surfaces) are more obvious in Pulse; but I don't like them too much anyway. But Fusion clearly has more complex sourroundings compared to Pulse, definitely more Polygons.
Look at Vohl Square or Alca Vexus.

nice video's El Patas! thankyou for posting them.

i watched a video of Pulse PSP next to yours to compare, the graphics seem a lot sharper in the PS2 version. Also the ion trail bends as you corner now, whereas in the PSP version it just shoots straight out the back of your ship in a line no matter how you turn!!!

looks great, can't wait to get my hands on it. it's out in continental europe, but not in the UK till friday!!!!!

also, it's gonna be better than fusion even if it looks a tad worse...fusion is so bug ridden and hard to play that i can play any other game in the seires for a longer period of time than that!!!

Hi, thanks, i hope you have soon the game this friday.

If you can compare the two versions and you can made videos with a pc
card i can't wait for your comments and videos.
Well, i'm more interested in see videos of other people, i don't like comparisons
specially, but i understand the people likes it.
And about fusion i don't like also enter in how good looks or how good is
the playability, because there is no way, Fusion is ugly, looks worse, and
don't plays like a Wipeout, for me this game don't deserve the name of
Wipeout, and definitely more polygons don't mean always better look.
Pulse have gorgeous textures, very colourful and clear, solid and nice
polygons, and plays with the feeling of the best-Wipeouts-without-a-doubt.

    Enjoy it!
