I think i'm retracting my previous statement - this actually is interesting me now - for what reason I cannot guage atm... But I do like it... However I've convinced myself to get the PSn Download for pulse now - so - really, it makes no sense for me to get the PS2 version coz if I did - I'd have 3 copies of essentially the same game - that's kinda anal...
However - I still want the PS2 veriso... go figure!
hey nice review! is there any mention of negcon support in the manual?
Mmh...sorry, not, and also in the manual specify only compatible with
Dualshock 2 controller.
Another options in-game is you have three type of camera views, one in
first person, and two in third person.
Also three options for customize the airbrakes, custom, double airbrake and
single airbrake.
Options for dynamic hud are, default, concave, and off.

Hi El Patas! Thanks for the info!
I was wondering if there is any option to link up 2 or more PS2s and play multiplayer on LAN? This would be my only reason to buy this (I already have the PSP version).
Thanks.
Hi,
i don't see any option about lan in the manual and in game options, i
think not, but never i have in my hands a game with the option of lan or
anithyng else for link various consoles, if this is not hide in any way on
the disc the response is no, sorry.
Regards.
nice, thanks for the info. cool pics of the box too.

Aww thanks for the swift reply! no negcon=broken heart, im off to cry over my 3se![]()
Hi,
if you liked the logo's, i take them from the official site in here:
http://www.wipeout-game.com/html/con...eam=AG_Systems
You can see also the same logo's in the middle page with a different
colours, but the more interesting is in the panel of the the bottom right.
There is the logos i take, and all the logo's for all the teams in all the Wipeout's!!
For example the Feisar is a team who exist from the first Wipeout,
scroll down the bar in the bottom right panel and you can see all the logo's from
the first title and check the evolution, all in nice quality, fantastic!!
Enjoy!!!
Ok, here's a question I think everyone would like to know, and since you didn't play the psp version, I don't think You understood the question earlier
1) At the start of a TT race. do not touch gas.
23)after the announcer says go. hold foward on the dpad. Does the ship move foward at a slow speed?
3) After the announcer says go, hold foward on the ANALOG STICK. Does the ship move foward at a slow speed
Number three is a check for a bug, if dpad doesn't move you foward, does the analog sitck
Well, i don't understood you at all, but i made the two tests with the same
result.
1) I started a TT race without touching the gas.
2) After the go voice i hold forward on dpad and, YES, the ship moves
forward at low speed.
3) After the go voice i hold forward on the LEFT ANALOG STICK and, YES,
the ship moves forward at low speed.
And what is the bad thing caused for the bug, if this exist?
The bug cause the ship don't go forward at low speed with the dpad?
Regards.

Well, there goes the planet!! That is too bad SL did not alter this. Thanks for answering those questions El Patas.
The bad thing about it is that it means "the auto-pitch mod" will still work (I think), resulting in unfair play, El Patas. But thanks again for the info.

thanks, i remember seeing these a while back, i forgot where though!!!
i never visit the so-called 'official site', as it is never updated and a bit rubbish really...considering wipeout has a huge ammount of history and has new stuff on the way.
thanks again for all the pulse ps2 info t oo!
But, this "auto-pitch mod", what means exactly?
And this is considered a bug?
When anybody are playing you don't run with the dpad or analog stick without the gas...
Do you think this "auto-pitch mod" is still working?
Well, i think only one guy with the two versions of the game, and knows this
thing, and how it works, can answer this question at 100%...
Yes, you are right also, the Wipeout saga, needs a more big, better and
complete Wipeout official site covering all the games of this instant classics.
Best regards.
el Patas, the problem with what you told us it this
1) when you hold foward on the stick the entire race, you are faster than staying flat the whole race
2) it is difficult to do this, so people taped the analog stick foward, and steered with the dpad. When pitch back was needed, pitch back on the DPAD overode the analog stick being taped down. This resulted in times about 2 seconds faster than " real racing"
3) Rob Foxx outlawed the technique basically stating that all controls must be done without taping the analog stick foward, do if you can do it manually, that is fine.
4) It doesn't bother me that this is still in the game since I hold the controller like a freak, not to mention ps3 controllers that will work easier holding the stick foward all the time
Thanks for the info.
Sony/SL lied to us man - there is no way pulse sold so many copies that it went platinum, they just made it platiunum so they can justify another relealse - which imo - is not a bad thing - if my prediction had come true... but to release pulse on ps2 is baffling me tbh...
I dont know if I want it or not... If I do get it, I wont play it, no online mode - and I do want another wipeout release soon. But would prefer it on the PSP not the PS2 coz of the lack of online mode...
Anyway - its all about the PS3 now so guess that's where I should focussing!!!
if you just play pulse for the online stuff, you have it on psp.
if you wanna have a complete package, no downloading or firmware or any of that, on big screen, buy the ps2 port.
'It's all about the PS3 now' is almost true, but most people on these forums still enjoy the oldies...
HD is about to get bigger with the Fury Expansion...then i guess, it's either another expansion...or a new wipeout.
-new psp game to go with the PSPgo?
-full feature packed new ps3 one?
-both? lets hope so.
but regarding Pulse PS2, it's down to whether you think it's worth it.
i like the online stuff of the PSP version...and love playing with different custom skins, but having one disc with it all on and just presssing on and it working and having it on the big screen, while i sit back holding a dual shock and a drink...that is for me.![]()
Yes, you make it sound tempting Ed, ... um, I do have a 46 inch Sony LCD rear projection TV. Man, I hate myself... I'm stuck!
it's only 18 quid...either way.
but you could always just get a psp to tv adapter if your Tv has component input and supports NTSC signal. then just play your Pulse PSP on big screen ONLINE!
but that leads me to another point...in a year no one will really be playing online aside from the odd retro meet up organised on these forums...
...ha ha ha, i keep throwing all this stuff at you giving you two sides to the argument...
...hell, if you want the game get it. if not...it doesn't matter you've already got it!!!!![]()
