I don't really like it too this "only download"-issue - hell, I even organized my first credit card just for this game!! Not being able to make a backup of what I bought really bugs me

But the game is too good to be missed - I guess nobody regrets all the "work" being done to get it. And in the end it's also meant to be played online - so whattheheck... just get it and become FURYous

NOOO, not my fav GT-R!!!! can't he just follow the arrows on the floor that indicates for noobs when to brake!
he will need PA in NFS...

omg are there only noobs at E3 coverage?
they're good at writing article on somthing they cant even do correctly!
how can they judge a game playing like that?

i understand better the success of Wii and DS...

is it the end of good, hard to master, and awesome games?
    hope not!
we will still have Wipeout in years!

    wtf?
Seriously, why did they even bother posting this video? Takes all the joy out of the game and makes it look like absolute CRAP. Considering this game most likely plays rather casual compared to GT, Forza and the likes (this is EA, after all), I don't see how someone can be so terrible at it. That guy playing obviously hasn't even played anything remotely resembling a driving game, let alone driven a real car (I hope)

read tenth of comment, and understood that they're plenty of fags/noobs posting E3 videos at gametrailer.
i think they don't even try to know within their team going to E3 who can make a demo of what game.

they were just good to show Bowling on Wii when it was out.

For having played a few games at Micromania Game Show in France in 2007, I must admit it's not such an easy task.
Putting aside the fact that you have to play standing up with a lot of people watching you, talking, and stuff like that, the real issue is the several other games next to me which didn't let me listen to the sound of my game. Braking while hearing a accelerating sound, etc.

Well, in those videos, the players sucked but, they aren't helped at all ^_~

PS : having played at a private event organized by Sony with a limited number of people, before the launch of the PS3, sitting in comfortable sofa, or even laying down with the display above me was pure happiness.

It was a PS room event, but it wasn't at Saint Lazare. It was at place des Vosges near Bastille.

At that time, the PS3 catalog wasn't so good, but I remember an epic Virtua Tennis double battle against Sony's Staff.

While we are off topic, I'll just as well say that this game is made by the core team that made GTR2 and Race Pro. Casual?

It probably also have all sim options turned off, including mechanical damage.

Why wasn't there anyone at E3 who took a full-coverage of WipEout HD Fury?
I don't get it. Where are all the freaks gone?

    Further, look at this!

// E3 Impressions: Wipeout HD Fury, Eric Layman
    {
Wipeout HD Fury was quite the unexpected find. Word of mouth
was nonexistent, it didn’t show at Sony’s press conference,
and it could only be found at one lonely kiosk on the show
floor. Furthermore, I had to go through four Sony reps before
I could locate someone who could tell me anything about the
    game.
But I got some details, eventually. ...
    } [Ref]

Something is really wrong with all the PR stuff considering WipEout.

// From the same reference we get the following information
    {
... On the fact sheet side of things, Fury, rather than a standalone game,
is a mission pack for Wipeout HD. When downloaded, the initial title
screen splits into two, and you’re free to select Fury as an almost
    entirely separate game.
    }

    Okeeey....
Don't you noticed guys that the video was called "wohd fury gameplay 2"
here's the "gameplay 1" (classical zone mode on a new track)

I noticed that when I also posted that, but I couldn't find the "gameplay 1" on that site. It seems I didn't search enough.

I don't recognize the track, but it seems like problem solver will explode his record on that one (seems like a pretty easy zone track).

Yeah, I browsed the videos but couldn't find it myself, so thanks.

    The track is Pro Tozo.

And it's not the easiest of the Zone tracks included in this.
Coridon 12 and Syncopia are much easier
Syncopia is the easiest I think, you only have to watch out on the staircase jump as the road gets smaller and smaller, and landing while turning at higher speeds from the staircase jump could be problematic.

Edit: Here's a small video I made of all the zone tracks.

I've been away since the E3 announcement so I'm a bit late to the party. Can't add much other than I can't WAIT! Awesome! I've never played any of those tracks so it'll all be new to me.

Couldn't find that video, initially. Thx. Ok, the ZONE craft still looks
the same ...hm. The track is awesome, the curvature is rather smooth =
    lotz of zones confirmed.

    xD

If you mean with 'pretty easy' that one can get into higher zones
rather easily (compared to other tracks), then you are right. But in
general I would say that those tracks which are supposed to be easy,
like for example ANULPHA PASS, are in reality very hard!

Why? Well, your ZONE score is the sum of #zones, #perfect zones,
#perfect laps, #successful BRs, etc.. Now consider that your are
running 120 zones on ANULPHA PASS. 120 zones equals 20 minutes
of full concentration! It's not like with SPEED LAP were you get another
try "20" seconds after you messed-up your current one. Running
into higher zones requires you to be able to hold up over a long period of
time. And as everybody knows, near the end of each run it becomes rather
stressing in keeping everything together. AP looks easy in doing ZONE,
but it isn't. Quite the contray is the case. The effort I've put into AP to
get to zone 125 was 100x larger than, for example, to get to zone 63 on
CHENGHOU PROJECT. CP is more difficult in its track layout, right, but it
is mentally a lot easier than AP, because on CP (with respect to AP)
you're almost carrying no load around. Just get the steering right and
    there you go.

Indeed, I mean by that I can finally get to zone 75 with thoses tracks n_n
But "easy" tracks also mean harder to get a world record (which i don't aim) ^_~
