I would not be able to decide my favourite off that Dylan album. "Ballad of a Thin Man" is as good as anything else though. I love the sarcasm and vitriol in Bob`s best stuff.

I missed the Stone Roses era for some reason. And drummers are always the coolest band members aren`t they? At your number 1 will it be the Beatles for their influential status? I`m not sure I could predict you though. I have ordered some Pixies albums already, very cheap on Amazon.

On topic I am currently relaxing to Thievery Corporation, the 2783rd best band ever, approximately

Your right about the Beatles, they are without doubt the best band ever. The White Album being my favorite. But they transcend even my list Lunar as they are 'The Beatles' and are untouchable.

So, as I'm just a sad white boy from the North of England my favorite band has to be.

This might be a bit Radio 2 for most of you and below 140 bpm, I don't normally like him anyway, but this song has got under my skin.

Geez Asa that`s not Easy Listening I will check out these guys some more though.

KGB, also your recommendation which led me to it, but it think this is the better love song. Got to love those lyrics, so funny. I bought Pixies` Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde in the end. Not much for all 3 off Amazon. I love the way Pixies don`t overdo their songs - they just give you the idea and stop again before they outstay their welcome, and you can just sit and read the great lyrics off the CD paperwork like we used to do in the old days with our LPs This band is so full of great ideas they don`t need to make their songs very long to fill an album easily. I want to edit a French wipeout tribute video to "Alec Eiffel" one day. "Staying low doesn`t make no SENSE!" Great stuff!

Currently listening to those three Pixies albums on rotation, and also David Bowie "Hunky Dory" (the only album of his which I really like and one of the very best albums evah imo) which I bought again for the third time. I Keep losing the CD!! So so many classic songs on this album, it`s hard to imagine one man could have made it.
