Nahh. Telling Al to go check out your "many hundred [NB: ROFL] records because you are the best" after you win only a few races online is of course showing the utmost respect to Al's dedication to the community when he hosts an annual convention at his place. He doesn't have to do this you know. But he certainly doesn't have to endure your post style any longer.
Going about on threads posting "I am number one" is of course being very respectful of others who are playing the game and are trying to get better themselves. It is also very helpful.

You are a self centred, self important ____. This latest post of yours shows you have no compassion or understanding for the people on the receiving end of your BS. Had you had even the slightest bit of empathy you would feel sorry for posting in such a way for some time now.

Historical fact: you are the first ever member I've seen on this website who boasts so much, with 1. so little to back it up (You are not first everywhere) and 2. so little content actually brought into the community, like tips, tricks, help, encouragements (especially that last one Hahaha ). I've been posting here for some time, and been reading for some more prior to my join date. I've never seen a phenomenon like you.

You are skilled at WipEout, there is no doubt. You are not skilled at sharing with other members. This is something that can be worked on. Evidently, this being the second time you say you are leaving, this is something you don't intend to work on.

Being in the top is something you can strive for, yes. However here everyone is there for that (Partly), if you throw everyone down with posts like this it's a fact that it won't be welcomed very long. You see the result of your own doing here now.
