Don't blame me, blame the US for there ability to manipulate the world oil price whenever they choose. Australian prices are dictated by the price that is regulated in Singapore.

A gallon is 3.785 liters and the exchange rate is around .65 atm. make the price of petrol in the US somewhere under a dollar AUD, lucky cunts.

Under a dollar here for gas, for diesel I think we're getting ripped off at over a dollar, not sure.

But hey, we're getting ripped off no matter what the price is.

ripped off at over a dollar? pah! this stupid country has only just convinced petrol to go below £1 let alon $1. this was also the case when the pound was strong (so for someone in the US it was nearly $8/gallon!)

Yeah. I read somewhere the cost for a barrel of oil was pretty cheap, and they sold it once close to 100$. So rip offs no matter what.

Diesel should be cheaper than Petrol regardless, since Diesel is a less refined product compared to petrol. Dumb governments like to apply a dirty tax on Diesel. Very 1990s, it should be scrapped now. Most green cars today are actually diesel vehicles since they have better millage/economy/range than there petrol comparisons.

Yeah I can imagine! I don't drive as I simply can't afford the expense of a car on top of everything else....independant living is so expensive in the UK!

My cousin came over from Austarlia and only lasted a year as she couldn't believe the cost of living....dunno why she thought here would be better than Australia. Fool
