Great job Nadia! The X-wing is my favourite craft from the Star Wars and in all of sci-fi. Once I get my hands on Pulse yours will be one of the first I'll download. I still think your skin Nadia looks like something from the Star Wars universe. Why are the plain textures you can take from the editor and use them in say...
photoshop... so messy? I love being able to do custom skins, but it seems to me before I can really get started with creating stuff from the scratch (I did some skin, but there all basically coulor changed and edited a bit) I have to find out where all the pieces of texture end, because the originals I got from the editor are not exactly exact. For example: the EG-Xs front wing piece is very different on both sides and just don´t want to go and find the borders by doing it pixel for pixel.
Call me lazy, but shouldn´t the original skins used to create the game more exact?

Hey guys, I started an Assegai the other day, but just can't finish it! Afaik, it just doesn't look complete!

What do you think, any ideas to improve it?
BARTgai - That ship looks GREAT!! It really looks "Old & used" and ready for action! :g
Hopewell - Nice start, and if it were me doing it, i'd go on to find some complimentary colours (Light Blue maybe, Orange.... ) whatever you feel goes well with red, and then start adding some "Finer Line work" within the Red that you already have. Maybe have a look at some of the other Assegai's in the Skins gallery & get some inspiration from there?
It's a great base to start from though, so whatever you do don't scrap it. :)
@ Hopewell : If you make a few darker shades of your existing colours, you can add darker panels and patches of dirt (quite easy in the 3D editor, in fact). You could also put small warning stickers around the cockpit (for example), using jet planes for reference, or Google around for sites like this : http://www.stikers.co.uk/#warningstickers

I've made a Ducati 2098 Desmo RR, of course in Ducati/Ferrari Red!!!!
It's simple, and the text for the logo is off, but i did it by hand. Didn't realize you could import. lol I'll fix it all later.
What do you guys think?? I'm sure A Ferrari skin would make more sense, but i'm more into bikes. I'd love to see one made though... ;)

Here`s my prototype of the FX400 Arian Tetsuo Retro-Qirex, inspired by the colours of the F3600 Qirex ace herself, and design stolen from Egg. It still needs general tidying, rounding, smoothing and shaping, and I will try to add some extra features of the F3600 craft. Turning the text black wasn`t easy for a photoshop noob like me and I`m not happy with that. I`ll work on it.

I`d really appreciate any advice on making it nicer, particularly photoshop tips, and yes it`s easy to get carried away in photo mode.
