I can't believe how much I'm listening to Stadium Arcadium lately--it's such a huge, great double album. I keep thinking it should have made them more money...but I guess almost everybody steals their music these days...:frown:

That's the great thing about watching death metal live! :D Actually, that band had a tragic tour accident a few years ago - the drummer died and the vocalist was seriously injured (last I heard he was in a coma). But yeah, in my opinion death metal drummers are the worlds creme de la creme and the backbone of the genre!! :D Here is one of my favourite drummers, George Kollias who has been on the last several Nile albums:

I HATE auto-tune so much. All that stuff in the charts these days; R'n'hip-pop-elec-bullshit or whatever it's called. Just a bunch of cretins who stole a synthesizer from a skip and then played off the ignorance of their mates. Actually that makes them sound resourceful, when really they're just scum.
I HATE THEM AND I HATE THEIR MUSIC :bomb

a little unusual for this forum perhaps but I'm listening to: Aloe blacc - I need a dollar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iR6oYX1D-0w) it's quite hard to understand that this is the kind of music that is where music like 50-cent and akon started... such a sad devolution.

Sam Sparro - Black and Gold (Komatic Remix) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0-TXaPN26o&hd=1) is also an absolute killer, and a tune ive listened to more times than I'd care to admit! Wow, that's great news. I've heard some recordings and seen some footage of them playing last year, and they were really on form. Cornell even has his voice back, after apparently quitting smoking and seeing a vocal coach or something, and Ben Shepherd was stomping around and doing his serial killer faces. They were playing lots of the old stuff too. Hopefully, a new album will be more like that raw stuff they used to do. :D

Awesome choice! One of his best albums so far! :rock
"Terria" is congenial, imo!
Hey hey : )
To be honest, Terria is by far my favourite Townsend album. A. evolution is really good, no question, but for me, it is not that timeless like Terria.
Next thing I will listen to is the sound of Just Cause 2 : )
And then maybe some Junkie XL while playing Wipeout.

well there's quite a few variants of jazz to hate :lol
bluesey jazz is alright. that ones ok as its just piano and blues style vocals :D :rock
but when its a bunch of people all seemingly playing different songs in the music equivalent of a traffic jam then its a bit grating:brickwall

i think i might have said it before.
if you don't know about AMP
but I'm back watching more of it and loving it.
it lasted on MTV for over a decade. it was the cornerstone for Electronic Dance Artist to show their music videos in the United States over and express what they do.

I am, as I type, listening to the first album by Danny Dodge, "Lucidity", released this week no less. I have to thank Darkdrium for posting a link to his cover of the awful pop song Friday. As amusing as it is I was blown away by the production values, so I looked up the creator, Danny Dodge.
You can download his album for free legitimately or buy it on cd. I've downloaded it but I will definitely buy the cd. Quite simply some of the best metal I've ever heard in my life, it really is quite special :)
