I think the retro huds are great, and I can't wait to see the wipEout 3 one. That will be my choice as I loved the design in the original game.

On a side note, that crash at the end was EPIC WIN

Ahwell , can't wait to see the WO3 HUD , that one will suite the game so well I reckon .
On a side note watching all these new vids , a thing I'm really happy about is that the floatyness seems to have increased slightly YAY!

Here's a picture featuring the 3 hud's from HD, it's really bad quality (from youtube) but you can easily see the HD one's the most difficult to understand, the 2097 one wins on been the best for actually knowing what's going on and the wipeout 3 one looks nice too.

obviously they'll all look a LOT better in full HD.

but there you go...

I reckon they should also have a WO pure Hud. I liked that one. nostalgic and new at the same time.

maybe they add pure and pulse HUD with DLC. it would be a good idea I think.

I think if the game attracts new fans they might, a lot of newbies to the series won't be bothered by the HUD I bet. And by that I mean they have no taste

true, noobs may enjoy it. and that's fine, i think by putting in the classic HUD's SL have covered all bases. a good decision and one which proves they listen to the fans! (the one's, as you put it, with taste!!!)
