New techniques have been found throughout the years in all versions of the wipeout games, ranging from going through walls, tapping brakes, scraping walls, or touching turbo in the air in wipeout 3 sometimes gave a superboost. All of these new techniques caused the community that wanted good times to go back and play through the tracks again with the new technique, and it takes a while to get the true best times a game can achieve. If you want to keep up, you need to adapt to the new technique. I haven't adapted to how arnaud plays, and that is why I cannot catch him in xl (all that brake turning is driving me crazy), but you don't see me compaining saying that he shouldn't turn with his brakes, because it doesn't make sense as to why it should be faster. AND what happens when they officially create an update allowing ps3 controllers onto the psp, would you want to ban that as well, when someone starts using an official liscenced ps3 steering wheel for pulse.
