I think it's more like a "known reason so lame nobody wishes to state it".
I don't know the guys who work on the servers but they have got to be really slow if they don't even know that version of the site exits. We need a Mass Relay to communicate instantly with them, not some slow radio-wave method... (Who guessed I was playing Mass Effect while waiting? )
