I've got GRID but on PC.
It's pretty damn awesome - no matter how rubbish I am at it.

Maybe in this particular game you're talking about, those particular weapons have a high rate of fire? Otherwise, ballistic just means that the projectiles are fired with a single impulse, like a bullet or a cannonball, or a rocket that burns all its fuel long before reaching its destination. Once the original firing impulse is exhausted, their path is affected by gravity, air drag, and direction of wind currents. Rate of fire is not related to whether it's ballistic or not; it's determined by other things, so ballistic fire could be fast or slow.
Those particular weapons, as you say, not only fire incredibly fast but are also incredibly deady. And with the added gore it makes the game so much more violent xD
Don't worry, I'm nice to those around me![]()
I picked up Ace Combat Zero and Dirge of Cerberus for PS2 the other day.
Zero is a great game. Best physics and gameplay of the series on the PS2, IMO. The story line is a little lacking when compared to 4 or 5, however.
Dirge of Cerberus is actually pretty fun. I don't understand the hate this game has attracted. It may be linear but the gameplay is solid. The only issues I have are the confusing menus you are required to navigate in real time and the hud that is equally confusing.
I'd get it for Xbox 360 if I wasn't holding up on sending it in for service.
Speaking of which, I reserved my Collector's Edition copy of Soulcalibur IV this week. Artbook, excludive content and a shirt one size larger than what I actually wear are included - I'm stoked. ^____^
Hi All.
This message only want to tell you that I'm stay away from Wipeout for a little ..... in this period I'm relaxing myself with Everybody's Golf 2 ......a game .... very 'slow'!
Read You in HD future (I Hope!)
CdRom
Good to hear you are relaxing, not good to hear you are staying away of Wipeout, but so good to hear you will be back with Wipeout HD!!
Greetz Mad-Ice
GRiD is AWESOME! Nevermind my car at the end of a race barely resembles the car that started the race, but its awesome nonetheless. The damage system is fantastic to watch in slo mo, especially when you've hit a wall, veered off to the left and collected another car.
@ Lance: Cheers, I'll remember that for later!![]()
I've already finished MGS4!!
Beyond Good and Evil 2 seems to be more than a dream now, that's other game that can keep me away from wipeout a while (shame on me).
Finished MGS4 6 times!
Damnit, I need to get a PS3.
Ace Combat X.
Damn Fenrir, I always run out of time before I destroy all four of them...
The Quick Air to Air Missile (QAAM) is your freind...
Ace Combat X another sweet PSP title. Yeah thats the best weapon to shoot Fenrir down (QAAM). Spot on Omega. You need to stay closes to them in the dog fights to shoot them out of the sky. I hate how the last Ace Combat went to the goddam cntbox. Would of been better on the PS3. Its a shame i would of bought it too. Ridge Racer suffered the same fate also in it sixth installment. Im still waiting for Ridge Racer 8 and Ace Combat for the PS3, guys a Namco Bandi.
Yeah, I've also had the QAAM miss, carry on turning, come back round, and hit the fenrir!
Multiplayer Ace Combat X:
FALKEN with TLS + FENRIR with LSWM=
Total Team Battle Ownage™

Latest update from the Hellfire Games Library(tm)
MASS EFFECT - PC: **** me, it's been a long time since I was properly addicted to a game. Amazing. Pretty much summed up in one word. Graphics are brilliant, immersive storyline, plenty of side missions you can embark on at your leisure. Plus you are completely in control of your character's dialogue, there isn't a sentence he says in the whole game that isn't chosen by you. How you act can also affect the storyline too, so after finishing it as a goody-goody I'm now playing through it again as an arsehole. Squad control can take some getting used to, but it's only really necssary on higher difficulties.
DRAGONBALL Z BURST LIMIT - PS3: Good to have the odd bash on but not one you'll get a lot of play out of. Typical Dragonball affair really, if you've played one you've played them all.
CRISIS CORE - PSP: Great games are like buses, you wait ages for one and two come along at once. It probably helped that I'm a big Final Fantasy VII fan, but my god this game is good. Takes a big step away from the turn based combat of the original PS classic, but the real-time action orientated combat has its own appeal. There's also quite a few nod-backs to the original for fans to spot. There's an absolute plethora of missions that can be attempted, most of which are much more difficult than the main story, adding an extra element of challenge. And of course, the story is brilliant and links very well into both Dirge of Cerberus and Final Fantasy VII.
GUITAR HERO AEROSMITH - PS3: And to finish, a game I am very disappointed with. I do like Aerosmith, certainy not criticising their music, but I can't say it's translated very well to Guitar Hero. I found it a mix of boring and frustrating. Boring in that the style of music never seems to change, and frustrating in that the hammer-ons and pull-offs don't seem to work as well anymore. I can easily do a run of hammer-ons in Guitar Hero III, but a very similar run in this game doesn't want to know. I'm expecting better from Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero Metallica.
MLB Power Pros for the PlayStation 2. A fun and somewhat realistic baseball game wrapped up in a super-deformed shell. Fantastic stuff. It gives me a chance to distort reality so that the Atlanta Braves do not underachieve each and every week.![]()
Echochrome (Infinite Corridor) FTW!
