not sure about earlier versions, but recent photoshops can choose from 3 different behaviours in the way it selects the 16 colour palette. it's worth trying the different methods rather than just going with the default
Has anyone figured out how to past back into the editor after copying from Mac photo editing software? I am working on a skin and it would be really helpful.
as long as the photo editing software can make the image entirely one layer, you should be able to select all, then hit copy, go to the wipeout-game editor and paste.
that's how I've been working, also on a mac.
the difference against other guys here is that mine's an old G4 machine, so I didn't have any trouble getting the editor to fire up on wipeout-game.com
I have just been trying to "copy" and then "past" back into the editor. I will try your method tonight. Thanks!
nice pics and intentions but make links to those pics and Read the Guidelines before you get banned!

.
Wonderful skins keep popping up here and that Sonic one is gorgeous! X3
I've been working a bit more on my EG.X and the Cedacian Bancho Model 2 is now done. :3

The ship's logo is the swedish flag (since I might be french but I was born, and currently live, in Stockholm, Sweden) rendered in a slightly more WipEout way. The paint job was intentionally done a bit roughly to give the ship a bit more roughed up personality. =^.^;=
Model 3 is next up and should have a more optimized color palette and much more "bancho" details. >:3
Well, copy and paste still is not working on my mac.
Then again, I am on a mac book pentium system and have to run firefox in rosetta to get the editor to work.
So I am slowly putting together a cold war skin for the Qirex ship.
*looking at my Location details*
How cool is that!!? Hey, now we have 3 swedish wipErs and one is right next door to me !!
amaru, the ship's looking cool now that it's not up and down hehe
and cool flag too - very wipEout!
funny that you also went for the rugh 'used' look.

Ah okay, cool. Great to see what other people will come up with. You guys must be inundated with skins, trying to weed out the dodgy ones (you've somebody checking for boob skins, right?).
Who checks for boobies?
Moi!
Not really - there's a hard working Sony department called Online Delivery who do the moderation and content updating on all online titles, so it's not as if we have to sift through them all.
And there is also the report skin option.
Me thinks that downloadable skin editor would be very nice. Funny, i always thought in the first place that we could download the editor to use it on PC.
Well, maybe in some not so distant future, hopefully.
Totally agree with the "Downloadable Skin Editor", and it would be even better if they could supply a version that worked with Linux, so i didn't have to keep re-booting into XP just to have a go at making some skins!
Actually it's enough if they release the editor as a browser-program. Sure, a stand-alone program that runs without an additional browser is nicer, but that way it's at least multi-platform and comparatively small in re-programming.
Browser-program?
(Don't want to increase the off-topicness, but I found this interesting. Should part of this thread be moved into editor discussion?)
I mean a program that is run through a browser.
For example: you have a flashgame on your computer. To play it you will most likely use your browser of choice. Shockwave-applications are started in browser very often as well. So they could do the same with the editor as it is Shockwave based.
