    Cool

Sigh. Great skins all! I'm afraid my computer graphics skills will limit my skin to a F7200-esque quality paint scheme...at least at this point! I've got lots of time to work on it before my pretty Pulse UMD crosses the pond, though.

One question: what happens when you click "Publish"? Does this just allow others to view your skin, or can they use it themselves once it's been published?

I accidentally found a couple of shortcuts that might be useful for those who edit the 2D bitmap.

Keyboard arrows rotate the 3D model, letters a, s, d and w move the model and on my Spanish keyboard the keys to the left of the backspace key ' and ยก (this is an inverted exclamation mark) zoom in and out.

I know nothing about skinning but I wolud have never thought that the lettering in Qirex's "High speed revolution" would need that kind of deformation to look good in 3D

When you click publish it puts the skin in a moderation queue. Once it has been moderated (i.e. checked for obscenity, profanity, etc.) and it has been approved it will appear in the Ship Skin Gallery so that other players can download it. So by publishing it you're agreeing to share it with the community.

Of course, you could always keep it to yourself...

Ah shite I clicked the publish button during an early stage of using the editor, the skin isn't much of a skin at all it was just one area of the ship I changed at that point, you guys might want to bin it tis a waste of space.

I just tried the skin editor, and once you get the hang of it, it can be very simple.
just a shame it's not an 'offline' editor. it would of made skin making a whole lot quicker to have an app on your pc so you can test them ingame without having to save them on the site first :/

so while i wait for my game to be delivered at least I can make skins and see what they look like on the ships

Ooh, pressing F5 reveals some secrets on this site, therefore I can tell you that some of the extra circuits have these names:
    • Vostok Reef
    • Orcus
    • Edgewinter
    • Gemini Dam

    The easiest way:
Save the skin (in the editor).
Load WOulse, goto "WIPEOUT-GAME.COM" in the menu, log in and hit the download button. The skin is directly saved to your memorystick and available in the game
