    Hi Nik, hi all.

I use turbo in the same place and i think same as you about this hell bend

but i think that sagarmatha is a strange track, therefore simple and at the same time difficult to make at the maximum of the speed .....

    read you soon

Hi everyone, i don't have score for official competition but working with triakis on phantom and briefly in rapier.

Formely my turbo strategy was based on getting it into the straight line ( half of the track) right after hitting one of the 2 boost pad in diagonal after the right airpin.
But i left this way out and changed for a new location : after the jump i am landing on the right side of the boost pad and try to be as close as i can from the 'inside' of the long left curve , and turbo nearly at the end of it ( i deliberately miss the last double BP) , it's even better than going outside from the curve and hit the double last BP , i tested it several time in phantom

I also missed voluntary a BP , the one which is on the right side after going out from the 1st tunnel : i sideshift left immediately at the end of it to hit the BP on the left with better high speed ( than getting the right and after the left one ) and then sideshift right on the airpin

On phantom i lowered racetime to 1.45 and lap to 20.06 with that technique.
Rapier i get 22.90 after several attempts on free lap then 1.37.31 after 2nd try ( all scores with triakis)
Tomorrow i will enter the official non-triakis sagar

    Triakis
    25.24 - 23.31 - 23.51 - 23.87 = 1.35.93
    22.64

    Icaras
    1.37.29 / 22.78

Interesting... I was boosting off of the last corner at lunchtime today, then switched to the technique Il_Nik suggested and that helped me better my race time, but only helped me shave 0.06 seconds off of my fastest laptime.

If I hit the BP in the chicane before the jump and hit the BP's after it and at the lip of the jump, I actually try to avoid the single BP near the landing point because that seemed to be taking the edge off of my BR boost. If you land on the left of that BP you can carve the turn nicely to the apex, drifting out to the edge to get the double BP.

I suppose your times are much better than mine, but it doesn't seem logical to avoid the double BP out of that corner when it's there for the taking!

But hey, what do I know?!

    I'm thinking like you, Robb.
I'm not so sure that fail two BP is the better way to do the time, as well if you take the best line in the last bend.
I voluntary miss the right BP of the fourth curve, but it's the only one, and I turn that bend really close the left, so I run some meters minus.
I'm agree with Asa on the jump: I take it from the left side, so I can close as well as possible the right bend, but catching the double BP.

After that quick kai session last night & 1 hour of 2097 with dag later i saw your bloody 22.87 Nicola and started thinking hmmm and If NiKo was knowing the truth... so i changed the turbo location like you explained in a session of free laps, i did 22.64 , i tried to beat that ghost by my former technique and no success at all. Congrats mate you were right
I was also intrigued to see if that new one will be working on phantom as well... on a real flying perfect lap i 'only' made 20.34 : on phantom i am convinced by turbo best location is at the end of the track while finishing turning right.
I won't be surprised too much cause on few other tracks, turbo must be get on different part of the track due to class speed

    Damn...

You're the best well-driver, we know.

On phantom class I managed a 20,32 with my own technique, and it wasn't a good lap.
I think that with a perfect lap I'll be able to underscore your time (I hope... )

Talking of Icaras, I'm all out of practice time for this week:

    Team: Icaras
    Fastest Lap: 0:24:28
    Fastest Race: 1:41:96

Even if I reel off three 25 second laps to end the event, I'm stuck with a 26 second opener that I cant seem to better. I'm hardly Mr Consistent, so I don't think I'll improve on this!

Great challenge this week, though - really enjoyed revisiting Sagarmartha - even if it was in VR style.

    Hi Thibob,

    WELCOME here!

Here is just one rule to play into the challenge: If you want to race for victory you don't have to choose Triakis (I don't know why, but it's so)

Ah, the other rule is about timing: we all have a week to run the challenge (but not so strictly, I think that your great scores can be admit here)

Uh, the third rule is also about timing of your records. You have to play its in the same week of the challenge, not from your personal record-list

    Then, good race mate

    Hi,

    Thanks for those details

In effect, why can't we use Triakis ? It's the same as an other, no ?

So... I have to make the same time with an other team lol

    Good race

    SAGARMATHArapier ---------------------------------- Monday Report

A warm wellcome to our new member Thibob : Enjoy being here fellow citizen, the place definitely you need to be if you love Wipeout and compete into the WipeoutZone tables.
In that topic , we've started a weekly TT challenge based on a gentlemen agreement just the same with the existing WZ tables : no modded psp running at 333, we trust eachothers and we need to describe our lines & where we get the turbo, free laps are also allowed for the best laptime.
We decided not using Triakis , cause we all know that ship is the supership of the game so every weeks everyone will take it and we don't want that, we like the diversity .
We are few competing with it and entering our scores into the WZ tables of Pure but we call that: ' the non-official TT challenge' : no price but a big fun with the fattie ship

(...) i will finish that report after dinner BRB
