    Sinucit Phantom-- ---------------------------- Monday Report

8 fellow pilots on this phantom track. Congrats to everyone , hope you had a good time finding the best line possible.
Sinucit is one of my fav track from the early beginning alterning easy straight line, long curves & also tricky chicane : sweet track ! especially on Kai with some glorious moment of laughing when sideshifting mates into the big hole
When you race it at first, it seems not to be a hard track but after practising it a lot , you can see all the work needed to acheive a real great score.

Talking about scores Here's the result for this week :

    Racetime
    1*Asayyeah : 2.42.68 Goteki 45 -- 2.39.27 triakis
    2*Mad-Ice : 2.43.24goteki 45 -- 2.39.86 triakis
    3*Del Stepho : 2.44.17 goteki 45
    4*Il NiK : 2.45.29 goteki 45
    5*Alterego : 2.49.86 - 123Klan
    6*Tomahawk : 2.50.65 goteki 45
    7*Borell : 2.51.70 Ag SyS
    8*Stin : 2.51.96 Auricom

    Laptime
    1*Asayyeah : 31.58 goteki 45 -- 30.55 triakis
    2*Il NiK : 31.93 goteki 45
    3*Del stepho : 31.96 goteki 45 -- 30.88 triakis
    4*Mad-Ice : 32.12 Goteki 45 -- 31.04 triakis
    5*Tomahawk : 33.06 goteki 45
    6*Alterego : 33.13 - 123Klan
    7*Borell : 33.22 - Ag SyS
    8*Stin : 33.47 - Auricom

No double this time for you alter
Now it's time to relax ourselves on a coool flash track ooooh that's my most fav one !! what a surprise
challenge starting now till sunday 11 february midnight.

Time to practice another track thoroughly!

Usually, I have not pushed the limit on a track until I first play it within this challenge. On most of the tracks I have only gotten the gold medal in TT and moved along.

Today I entered Blue Ridge in the Icaras. I Changed to AG-Sys after a couple of races and stayed with it for a long time. When I had difficulties beating my recent records, I turned to Medievil. It did not fit me at that point. After some more races with AG-Sys, I tried Cardracer. No immediate success, but it grew on me. Finally I got better times again and felt quite happy after a good days work.

    Cardracer: 2.18.88 ( 0.35.55 0.34.54 0.34.00 0.34.79 )

Maybe there is a better boost strategy making a big impact on speed. Right now I barrel roll at the drop, go through the sharp bend, hit the turbo pad and then use my boost. I imagine the boost is prolonged by the next turbo pad, instead of the turbo pad slowing me down when I hit it.

    Where do you guys boost?

    Great lap time, il_NIK!

I am boosting at the same location after hit the 1st BP next to right bend.

The starting & finishing chicanes are the most important parts of the track.
1st one when you start , try to get through them without sideshifting & airbraking especially on flash it's easier
For the finishing ones : be as close as possible from the 'inside ' of each bend of the chicane , start with right sideshift on the single BP getting out of from that 1st right bend then sideshift left to cut the left bend immediately after it right S shift and you get one of the 2 BP in parallel

    Ag SyS
    34.68 - 32.88 - 33.02 - 33.50 = 2.14.08

    Assegai
    33.84 - 32.50 - 33.07 - 32.77 = 2.12.18

Thanks! But damn... I thought there was a miracle cure for getting faster laps. So you are trying to say I really have to resort to practising, huh?!

Blue Ridge flash ---------------------------------- Monday Report

Belated report sorry i was at hospital today and wasn't in mood of writing down the report yesterday midnight

6 fellow wipers raced on that tricky Blue Ridge Flash Challenge, i must reckon i spent more time on phantom class trying to beat a recent massive laptime from Del Stepho . However flash is perfect to understand in a better way this track.
Here's the result for this week :

    Racetime
    1* Stin : 2.11.90 Icaras
    2* Asayyeah : 2.12.18 Assegai
    3* Il NiK : 2.12.72 Icaras
    4* Alterego : 2.16.14 Icaras
    5* Borell : 2.18.88 Cardracer
    6* q DMC12 : 2.36.44 Zone

    Laptime
    1* Il NiK : 32.09 Icaras
    2* Stin : 32.27 Icaras
    3* Asayyeah : 32.50 Assegai
    4* Alterego :32.93 Icaras
    5* Borell : 34.00 Cardracer
    6* q DMC12 : 38.12 Zone

Congratulations to Stin & Il NiK they did great scores for the lap as for the racetime. I ve lost my flash crown of Blue Ridge .
    Wellcome back to double-alterego-score

challenge starting now till sunday 18 february midnight. good luck friends

I had a peek in the records table. 1.37.46! It will be interesting to see the times during this week. My first session resulted in:

    Icaras: 1.40.59 ( 0.26.13 0.24.64 0.25.74 0.24.08 )

    Icaras: 1.39.94 ( 0.25.74 0.25.46 0.24.56 0.24.18 )

With the "il_NIK" boost I get faster laps in average, and thus make faster race times. I did not succeed in lowering my best lap time though. On a really good run--see the second lap time--I should be able to get down to 1.38.5. But... the really good runs are rare. Maybe I'm not that stubborn.

    Icaras: 1.39.05 ( 0.25.46 0.25.14 0.24.17 0.24.28 )

    Icaras: 1.38.75 ( 0.25.60 0.24.35 0.24.54 0.24.26 )

    Hi mates,

where do you use turbo in Sagarmatha? I use it after the 5th bend (the right bend before the straight-s line).

I think that this one is the most important curve of the track, where you can lose a grat amount of cents if you don't race it at its maximum velocity

Interesting... I haven't really tried much. So far I used the boost after the last boost pads and therefore most of the boost has been during the beginning of the next lap, in effect until I reach the first boost pad.

I will try your strategy, il_NIK, and see if I gain anything.
