Disk not reading?

I recently had problems with my copy of Pure not working in the UMD drive, even though other games work fine. I've since exchanged that disk for a new one and it still refuses to play.

I've reloaded the firmware, changed memory sticks and done countless cold boots, but pure still refuses to boot.

Any ideas?

That is a weird one - I'll see what I can find out about that.

Some games due thrash the disks in different ways - GTA San Andreas killed my old PS2 with all the hard work it gave the drive, so it stands to reason that the PSP might do the same with some titles.

I spoke to the Sony Careline today and they have offered me a replacement PSP which should arrive monday. I'll post up the results of course.
