The first Alpha build went up this morning [my time], I downloaded it before I went to work and will give it a shot later.[A bit of a bugger trying to work out how to get the download being a Steam noobie of two hours ]

I had a feeling it would be up for the weekend, so I finally got around to opening a Steam account last night, just after I installed a new graphic card in the PC I'll use for this.....the little USB dongle thingy that allows me to use Xbox 360 controllers wirelessly was in the mail box this morning so I've got all the needed hardware and pretty much ready to go.
