Rebekka Bovier (née Tramer) was the wife of Jonathan Bovier and first Lead Researcher of the Jennter’s SFE (Spezialforschungseinheit - Special Research Unit). Her main goal together with Jonathan was to find a method granting something akin to immortality, peaking in extensive Sublimation and Electrosphere research. Part of these operations were classified even within the SFE and played a contributing factor in the relocation of the companies’ headquarters to Copenhagen after the Fall of the F9000 and subsequent investigations.

Rebekka ultimately became the first person to successfully be sublimated into the Electrosphere, where she continues to dwell until today. At least that is what Jonathan is convinced of, having continued SFE research on his own after years. A side product of her encounter with a rogue AI and her husband’s continued efforts manifested in the material world as a young woman named Madison, who bears a striking optical similarity to the young Rebekka.

Despite studying at the same campus they rarely made contact due to their differing fields - Jonathan a Mechanical Engineer and Rebekka a Neurologist. It was the free-time activity of gathering at a race meeting where they initially made contact. Carrying a practically complementary obsession with the idea of a perfected race car and the perfected human within it set the foundation for the relationship to soon come.

With Jonathan taking over the leadership of Jennter in 2085 and the following expansion of the company, the base has been laid for Rebekka to take over leadership in the newly founded SFE. While this unit carried out a variety of unusual research programmes, in core it remained the backbone of the lasting common desire of the couple to research into life extending methods, where usually both served as test subjects once a project reached an acceptable state. This eventually caught Rebekka in being sublimated through her own experiments. Officially she was declared dead through an undetected disease, which only Jonathan remained to question.
