Everyone's got a bit of Irish in them somewhere. I do myself from my mother's side, even though my family used to be Welsh nobility waaay back.

I think we'd have to have adjudication on the best claim to being a Celt.

Alternatively, we could exploit a little loophole - according to the Celtic Nations webpage, it includes Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany, the Isle of Man and Cornwall... but apparently Galicia in Spain is petitioning to join as well. So we could take on a Spanish pilot considering there's no Team Mediterrania as of yet.

Superb. We can still accept another pilot if one comes forward with good enough Celtic ancestry. ^^

Poland, are you guys OK with hosting the Reverse HD tracks while we host the Forward ones? I'll also need a Polish Endurance race from you guys - I think Scotland's home race has always been Ubermall Reverse, so I'll keep it like that for us.

Gutted i'm missing this but hopefully with the formation of the Celtic alliance we can start up regular national matches, even outside of Avalon.

Also theres an IRC chanel that me ad Pyro made that has been a lil quiet lately. ( I've been busy and I'm sure the other guys have been too.) It's open to anyone who wants to chat there between races if you have the ability to be on PSN and on a PC at the same time. direction to get to the IRC channel can be found here.

Here's a rough idea of the rooms I'll be hosting tomorrow. Times are approximate and will be shifted around to fit in with the other events taking place:

    9am - Flash Eliminator

    12pm - Zone Battle

    4pm - Flash Single Race

    11pm - Phantom Eliminator

Can't say that my hosting will be as varied as the Colonel's I'm afraid. I'll only be doing Phantom single races, 1 weps on and 1 weps off per track.

Every 10th race, I'll do an enduro.

same as you DP, I'll try to pop up at some points during the day, if necessary I'll host claw style races (1 weapon 1 weapon off), & arh enduro if people are asking for it.

    Thanks Kanar, DP.

OK, real emergency now lads. I NEED CELTIC PILOTS. Tarquin's just dropped out leaving me as the sole Scot at the moment. So I know you're all busy and everything, but if you know a Scot, a Welshman, an Irishman, a Manxman, a Cornishman, a Breton or a Galician that plays Phantom, I NEED THEM NOW.

    Thanks.

No problem CLB. Give your thanks to DreamyElf, Z1r0r1e, Dark_Phantom_89, Erich123, Andybob35 and Ragsus. ^^

Also, though I don't wanna mess with the beautiful record boards other people have worked so tirelessly to create, we had our first ever proper Avalon Flash session this time - one race weps on, one race weps off, then Enduro at the end. We did a 16 lap Flash Endurance on Anulpha Pass and the winner was ACE-FLO with a time of 7.48.11, almost 20 seconds up the road from me in second. Well done man.

Gutted I didn't get to have some flash races with you all, especially the legendary Ace. But the phantom room developed very nicely indeed.

Having a break at the moment, few beers and a few glasses of wine with a friend, but I'll be back on in a couple of hours for some more carnage. It's been a great day so far I have to say

I havent joined in the phantom rooms as i have been indoctrinating new pilots...The wipeout GODS must be appeased with new pilots or they will pour down their wrath upon us.

    Cool

I had great fun for the bits I caught at the last, thanks all. It was a pleasure. And my friend's first comment was "This is insane!" I think her eyes bugged out of her head.

She's never seen online racing like this before. Mwahaha. Too bad she missed the parts where the framerate was slowing down crazily due to everybody being crazy trigger-happy super-phantom nuts!

Just wanted to say I had a great day on Saturday. Many thanks to Challenger for organising it, and to everybody who showed up. A good variety of rooms, and it was still going strong when I finally called it a day, that was at about 2am. I've learnt my lesson though, next time no booze! Can't do the "drunken master" thing, more like "drunken idiot".

Got some cracking video of the Zone Battle and some Phantom SRs, which I will link to when they're all uploaded.

Edit: By the way I took a note of my stats at the beginning and end of the day and I did 121 races, totalling 6hrs 38mins of gameplay. Good going, but can do better

I kinda got into it on the tail end of things this time around but it was a blast! Though you kept eliminating me medusa, which is something I must pay you back for, but with a smile you did stay a classy eliminator person, rockets from canada with love-style! The best kind of rockets you can have shoved up the exhaust at 1000 km/h

Seriously it was great flying about with you crazy critters again and a special shout out to Ragsus Maxima for the awesome hosting in the wee hours of the night.
