Have you tried reading the instructions?
Avoid barriers, pick up pads, boost your way up to the required zone. It's no rocket science. ^^
Euhmmmm..... That's all? Guess i was searching too far =P
Thanks
@nutcase LOOOOOL xD
@saturn i haven't played fury yet, still completing HD but when hosting online i tried that option and i was like wtf is this???!!! Thought it was zone mode so survive as long as you can, combined with the ability to recharge your shield... That was untill a warning popped up for something called a barrier LOL by then it was already to late and went into it changing the zone or something which made me go crazy of question marks
Everybody left after that zone kind of thingy though... Looks like it's not so popular =P

New question; How do you guys complete Chenghou project in the last campaign session of HD, i can't for the life of me become first, made it to silver but jeeeez, i either keep getting killed, destroyed, kicked of, bumped into me, etc etc...
Cipher
ps (it's the utter left medal thingy, bottom one)
Is this Chenghou at Elite difficulty or just against novice/skilled?
If it's against novice/skilled then you need to practice speed laps so you get the track memorized, usually barrel rolls alone should give you 1st place as the AI doesn't perform them.
Elite AI doesn't perform BR's either, but they are 15% faster than you around the course [cheating SOB's], so the best tactic is to stay back for the first 2 laps as the Elite AI race relative to your current speed/placing, then go hell for leather on the last 3 laps if it's Phantom speed, and BR at every opportunity and keep tight lines.
Even then it's a bit of a crap shoot till you get really good at this game.
Here's Hellfire's Tutorial on Chenghou, part of a complete series.

Thx for that, and yeah it's elite phantom, problem is i keep getting way to much damage with the barrel rolls, and can't use any items since i need to absorb them
I do about 4barrel rolls =/

Well, in a 5 lap Phantom race you have 10; pretty unmissable BR's.
Each lap you would have the jump before the long banked left hander, and the drop before the chicane/tunnel, onto start/finish line.
Best to practice Speed lap's.
If you are a real die-hard Wipeout player, then you will put the time in to get your lap times down as far as possible.
Aim to beat your PB, over & over again.
Then aim for the Top 300 times in the records for each track at each speed.
I'll try =), already made it to top534 but it's not enough =P

Anyone know how to avoid missiles?
You know the feeling... You're cruising along happily in pole position when you hear the dreaded "MISSILE". You sideshift like crazy hoping to avoid the lock-on but then a few beeps later you inevitably crunch to a standstill and watch your position move slowly down from 1st to 7th. You start to pull off hoping to prevent coming in last but it's all in vain as you are a now a sitting target and get nailed by the last guy's rockets :'(
Anyone know how to stop this from happening?
Drop Ă* bomb or mines just before missile impact
Amazing, THANKS!!!
If possible use terrain exploit, also, if the road is bumpy, nose up and you're ship will elevate, allowing the missile to go beneath you.
And instead of side kiccking, tapping the air breaks works great to avoid missiles, or making sharp turns or staying close to the edge =P
Can also indeed use mines and bombs, but be carefull with bombs, the missile will set it off and if you're to close, you'll get hit too

So, I finally made the 100 laps of the speed lap event...
I spent the rest of the day with a sore thumb...
Anyone felt the same thing?
I've made 100laps x2 on chenghou and some 80lap SpeedLaps on other tracks... i fell nothing bad, nothing's hurt![]()
Just a question a bit off topic (I swear I will slap myself after this post saturn return & moderators)
Am I the only one without a ps3? I own a disc of WipEout HD Fury, but I gave it to my friend, I brought it as a display case wasting (I would do anything for WipEout series!) 75 new Zealand dollars for it to put up on my wall as a display case. Then of course family problems arrives... Now I can't get a ps3. So yeah...
You´ve asked this kind of question earlier, haven´t you?
I have also no PS3, like I told you before...my girlfriend owns one, but I am more than satisfied with my PSP and WipEout Pure!
Since I've tried Pure, there is currently no good reason to play another part of the WipEout series. Pure is the perfect blend of good old Wip3out feeling and fantastic graphics.
So, what I really want to say is:
You don´t need a PS3 + WO-HD/Fury to be part of the community, imho.
If you want to play online, you can compete others on Pulse or Pure!
Not everyone can afford to get the latest consoles, so don´t worry! You´re not alone!
Feel free to slap yourself!![]()
