If the race is over, then they need to get the time straight. I live in the USA and it says that I'm in the GMT timezone, when in fact I am in GMT-6.!!!! Because of this, i just missed out on the trophy!!!! I am pissed off right now!!!!!!!!

As you probably realize you are showing the default timezone under your forum name
To change to your proper user timezone so it shows next to your name, and so you can easily visually relate to other peoples timezones when you compare them to yours.

Go Up to the top Left of the forum page.
Click on User CP > Settings options > Edit options > Date & time options [select your timezone and if Daylight Savings apply] save & exit.
