I'm seriously pissed off by Sony and GT5. I've never seen that tbh, people having the game 15 days before release. There's already hundreds of copies out, can't believe it. And we the regular stupid sony fanboi have to wait til nov 24.

you can even buy it "legally" there http://www.fingerhut.com/productgrou...rce=cart&hgc=0

never seen that before. 9 days before official release. 555 000 copies will be available in France for day 1, hope I'll get mine. Sony definitely needs to recruit normal human beings btw. Marketing policies since Ps3 release = total nonsense.

Have you seen the track list too??? 3 new decent world race circuits???
and about a dozen incarnations of the same circuit?
What about the real historic circuits. old hockenheim, old spa, Brooklands Aintree, Silverstone. or maybe some decent real street circuits

    5 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm wonder if il'l waste my money on a billion incarnations of the nordschleife and about 1000 cars most of which is made up by chronic japanese cars. like the Daihatsu Town Cube? & the Izuzu Mysterious utility wizard (seriously? look it up )

Sadly ill probably buy it anyway if only for the Ferrari's (there still in right? RIGHT??!)

ok nither of those japanes cars are in there but atleast we've got the Volvo S40 Estate!

i also dropped 4 pints of milk. daymn that stuff went EVERYWHERE
i spent most of the day mildly dazed and confused as to my massive time balls up

When friends say that they are gonna double date with you, but at the last moment they say that they can't, right when you had your hopes up.

    Default Stupid rules

(Quick tip for jasmin - there's more than one channel.)

Stupid rule of the day number one:
I'm required to work on a job in Toronto. My overall rate is less than half the rate of anyone else on the project because of our comparative low salaries in the UK. However, I work in (and from) an office in the middle of London, UK. My overhead rate is therefore high. Toronto's decision makers have a rule that no-one can work on their projects with an overhead greater than X %, while mine is X+30 % or so. So even though any one of us from the UK is ridiculously cheap compared to an employee of comparative grade in Toronto, and even though I'm literally the only person who can do this work now, because everyone else (from the UK) got sick of it and left, or was made redundant (from the US), I can't be mobilised for the job. How daft! Quite why the client has to know our overhead rate anyway is beyond me. Makes no sense.

Stupid rule of the day number two:
I was refused a take-away hot chocolate from the office cafe today, because apparently they can't do take-away drinks after 4pm. They can, however, do free drinks. To have the drink for free you simply have to drink from a proper much and sit at the cafe. If you takeaway, it costs £1. So even though they people that run the cafe would make money from simply pouring the hot chocolate into a paper cup instead, and even though I would take the drink away and carry on with my work, instead of wasting half the day in the cafe like some tartlets do, they won't let me do it, and without any actual reason at all. How daft!

It's no wonder the world is in a recession. Apparently people can't make money any more because some toolbar went and made up some daft rule that makes everything more costly and wasteful. OK, so the paper cup would be wasteful compared to a reusable mug, but I'm pretty sure the dishwasher being used for the few mugs at the end of the day wouldn't be much better.

It's proper hot chocolate. No kettles involved. I've wanted a kettle at work for a long time because our hot water comes from zip taps, and isn't actually boiling. But if I bring a kettle it would have to be electronically checked for health and safety. Someone would probably also complain it wasn't sustainable. Irony is that the zip taps spew water out far too quickly anyway, and despite not being hot enough for making good tea, it's hot enough to scold. It wastes heat too, because the water isn't hot enough, so the tea needs brewing longer, which means it gets cold quicker. So, I have to warm the mug up first with hot water, and then refill with fresh water it to make the tea. Essentially, I have to use two mugs of near-boiling water and risk a scolding instead of just using a freakin' kettle. Then there's the water you have to run off in the mornings because it tastes nasty when coming out of the tank first thing in the morning, for some reason, plus the wasted heat lost form the tank to the air. I'm sure a simple little kettle large enough for two cups would work out better as long as everyone were sensible. Given that we're all supposed to be intelligent engineers, it shouldn't be too hard. All I want is a tasty hot beverage and to get on with my work. Incidentally, the zip taps broke at one point and we did have a kettle for a few days. It was glorious!

@saturn.."gee never thought of that..must of had a blonde moment.."

    only jk ...no serously..

point i was making is that yes there are other channels so put it on a secondary channel not many people watch like christian tv or govenment channel more suitable for a team that much the population would rather forget existed.cos when its on the main channel they dont play the good programmes that should have been on hence why i was annoyed..

I can't quite decide wether it's funny or sad, Saturn. I'd like to extend a one month free membership of my exclusive "I hate all things Corporate" club. From now on there will be chocolate at the meetings, though only from a kettle for the time being.

Now, on to my gripe of the day. Snow.

First real snow here today. That means 4 months of driving no faster than 40km/h, making the daily commute last at least an hour each way.

it also means breaking your back trying to keep your sidewalk clear, only to have it destroyed by the incompetent fool - Mr Plow, that either tears up some of the sidewalk, or drives through your carefully shoveled piles, scatters them all over your newly cleared sidewalk and compacts them to big chunkc of ice.

    Unfortunately not

Actually it's just a couple of Very Big Tractors hired by the council from a farm just outside town. I suspect it's the farmers 12 year old son who does the wrecking...

You have snow covering your walkways over there where there is winter,in Singapore,we have floods(occasionally).
And now it's wet season. I can't wait to get my school shoes wet on the way to and from school.Actually,it's not much of a big deal, but it does give trouble to some.

Going home for the weekend and finding GT5 next to your PS3, sticking it into said PS3, then having to download an update for it and being told it will take over an hour when you know that at university it would only take around 2 minutes...

It would take over an hour because the PSN has slowed to a crawl due to so many people doing the same thing.
It took me over an hour to download DLC for Enslaved 2 days ago as every man and his dog was playing GT5.
We might have the same situation occur when LBP2 comes out.
