After my own research, I think I agree with Yeldar... apart from looks, the HD version seems to be both a bit more planted on the ground, but lighter and easier to get into the air and barrel roll. And the sheer height of the Fury version means that cornering in nose cam becomes rather frightening.
After my own testing and speed gauging of the Fury EG-X, I actually like the Fury version more than the HD, though I have to admit EG-X seems to be the sleeper craft of the entire game (this is my own conceptual belief, though). I think I'll have to push the Fury version in some Phantom races and see how I do.
