Well DJ, that does sound crap. I'd say you did the sensible thing though - dude's probably not worth it.

What's grinding my gears right now is, having gone into my work email account to forward an email, finding out that my company will be having another round of redundancies. I think this is the 4th in 18 months or something (maybe 2 years), and this time there will be 600 redundancies of permanent staff, with no-one being exempt. Sucks!

I think this is all happening now because a job of ours just got axed. It was a massive job for a whole new development in the middle east, and about 500 staff were working on it, with another 500 offering support roles, I think. Something like that anyway. Now, the government in the client's has decided that they just don't want to do it any more, so all of a sudden a hell of a lot of people have no work. The whole job was controversial to start with, and now this. Seems like a case of putting far too many eggs in one basket, and now there's a massive gaping hole in the basket.

Well, fingers crossed I'm one of the ones that survives. This comes just as I was starting to enjoy the job a bit more - bad times.

What really grinds my gears is when someone calls or texts me during an online race. I have my phone on vibrate, and its really distracting when it goes off in your pocket while you race. Then, when you call them back after the race, you can't say that you were playing WipEout, because a lot of people don't know what it is, and when you explain it to someone who doesn't game a lot, you sound like a nerd.

Yeah, and then you have to explain you're not a nerd, just a geek, but they won't understand the difference, which just makes you look like a dork. It's an endless downward spiral.

    Sadly, that's the truth.

I think I know what really grinds my gears (it's Zico related, but I already stopped trying to earn that trophy and decided to earn trophies from other games).

Getting a LBP2 beta trial code [all 2.3G download] and then finding that when every time you try to quit it your console freezes, ending up with having to shut down via rear power switch.

Also finding that setting up a "MOVE" pack is not as easy as advertised

Mate did you try to let your finger 5/10 secs on the power button? Should turn off your ps3 no matter the issue you're experiencing. I'm never shutting it down via rear power switch, even when experiencing a huge freeze. Is LB2 good btw?

Oh on topic, You know what really grinds my gears.... When I'm realizing wipeout HD didn't sell as much as MW2 or GTAIV . Stupid consumers. And when I'm seeing IGN all time PS3 top 25 games. No wipeout. Seriously.

    What grinds my gears?

The new, "improved", Dante from the freshly announced "DmC". Such a terrible design choice - it's a completely different character - they should have just made a new game entirely without the Devil May Cry association at all if this is the best that they could come up with. I know Dante was always flamboyant, but this kid is more hot topic wannabe than self styled badass.

Another weird thing is that in most of the screens I've seen, his head looks like a 90 year old's with a black toupee.

There was literally no need to redesign the character in the first place. I just don't get it. And making him a teen? He was probably 18-22 in DMC3 - the game he acquired devil trigger in - so there won't even be a staple gameplay element in the new game. I'm having a hard time believing this will be a real DMC game. It doesn't fit in the slightest.

I could of given you[ Kanar] a spare LBP2 beta code I have/had , but I consider you too much of a friend to allow such a possible console breaking code to be sent to you.
I, as well as 2 other Beta Trialist are on the verge of deleting LBP2 Beta because of MAJOR system crashes.

Awesome game, but the BETA trials problems aren't worth the risk of console breakage IMHO

I have the day off today and ordered the PS Move yesterday thinking I'd have most of the day to set it up and enjoy it. Amazon told me I'd get it today with express delivery, but it still hadn't arrived yet. Not too happy about this, especially as the price has already reduced, which means I could have ordered it now, paid for Saturday delivery before 1 p.m., and avoided sitting around all afternoon waiting for it like a pleb, and it would only have cost me 20 pence extra.

When you get taken to Liverpool as part of your graphics course and you aren't near Wavertree Indutrial. I need to have a go at Mick if he's there.

    Angry Discrepencises between regions

I recently got a ThinkPad X100e.It had a dual-core version. The Singapore online site said that the processor was an AMD Athlon Neo X2 Single Core.If I'm not wrong, the single core version is the Athlon Neo.Really hate the regional differences.
And getting just the dual-core motherboard(the processor is soldered onto the motherboard.Damn it)to upgrade the processor is going to be impossible...

...when the bank phones you to tell you you've been victim of a scam, and have been paying a direct debit of £14.99 a month since December 2008.....

I cant go two weeks without drama i swear. Good job I have a sense of humour..

Don't you read your statements from the bank?
Do you have internet banking where you can see immediately what funds are going where and when?
Since 2008 and you never twigged it was a scam, [that you never received anything for your 15 a month ]

I'd recommend getting internet banking for most people on the planet, if only to be able to check where statements are standing immediately, but when it comes to anything internet related you seem to be cursed.
