Update: I spread the word and got feedback. There won't be a German team this year - I tried to organize one in February but I had to quit due to some long term and time consuming project ... . Today, w/ competition already started, most of those German phantom racers I contacted want to do it right. Means - practice, learn the tracks and train team-tournys to kick-ass in 2010.
Now for the imminent problem: I'm prepared to help - Infinity_1, too. As a stand-in or proxy to the Austrian (or any other) team that needs help. Catch is, that I'm only able to participate on a short notice. Say 24h before the event happens and only in the evening (GMT+1) on workdays - weekends may be different.
Plz feel free to PM me/us or open a new thread for stand-in pilots and I'll see if it will fit my schedule.
+hth

Final Standings for NORTH AMERICA vs THE FLYING DUTCHMEN
Victor - North America
After a Grueling 16 track circut, Mines, Cannon and Rockets Ahoy. North America Emerged Victorius over the European Pirates. Saturns Icaras definately made a nice explosion when shot! The Races were close down until the very last point. Every point was fought for meter by bloody meter. Nobody slacked and Everyone had an absolute allstar performance. Lux was an Absolute speed demon on the tracks, FrostE had some great Quakes , Vart (which happens to mean speed by the way
) Was a Rocket Maniac and Yeldar was just straight up... Fast. Excellent racing all of you.
MVP = Yeldar2097
Pilot Scores
Yeldar2097 : 76
Deepmix: 74
TarotCardKiller : 70
Vartazian 63
Luxoflux: 52
SaturnReturn :50
Connavar: 46
TheFrostE:28
FINAL SCORES
North America : 237 PTS
The Flying Dutchmen : 228 PTS
Excellent racing had by all.

Great races, about the points there must be some mistake about mine,
I had 4+14 points = 18 for the 2nd tourney, and 28 for the 1st one,
so a total of 46 instead of 40, why is the sum incorrect?

I did 2 points on the last race, finishing 6th and I clearly remember seeing "14"
on the screen, last and 1 point behind SaturnReturn with 15, so I had 18 for
sure.
Not that it matters, but let's make things right

Connavar's right about the score. I got it on video. I'll go through carefully and add up all scores. Just give me a bit of time. I don't want to get this wrong. I will upload all videos eventually too.
Back soon......Oooooh the drama.

Unfortunately I didnt take a picture but I swear that I had 14 points at the end,
and i'm 100% sure because I remember:
- I had 12 points after on uber rev, finished last.
- I finished #6
- I saw myself having 14 points on the rankings
- I saw myself being 1 point under Saturn on the rankings
Also, I+Deep shared the 4th place on Vineta, this was confirmed by myself
and TarotCardKiller.
(I don't know the scores of other racers, but I paid attention to my own...)
Now I think the total is correct, and maybe you swapped some positions
among dutchmen. Maybe we should ask everyone to give their final score.

Sorry its not my intent to Mess up the scores (DRAT THEY ARE ON TO ME) The whole haveing like 7 seconds to write them down coupled with THe fact that the scores are messed up from the whole Ven K incident. Ill re-add everything now that another person says 14 let me re add these scores.
Double checking my math here.... I have a new score. TFD 233, NA 237.

Don't worry, it's understandable!
I know that we lost, I mean you did a full house on the last race, so I'm not
contesting this, just wanted to fix a small detail

I got 228 vs. 237. I'm pretty sure 'North' America wins.
The total of that is 464+1 for the extra point due to the draw. That all adds up. Well done guys. Was too close!

Yeah that seems correct, 9 points difference, and on the last race:
NA scored 8+6+5+4 = 23 points,
while we scored 3+2+1 = 6 points,
losing 17 points in the process, so basically we were +8 before SOL 2R,
and then -9 after it, hahaha.

We're not done with you guys yet. See you in the final.
You're right Connavar. We were both in first and second place on Sol2 as well until that quake came. Never mind. We put up a good fight. We can kick ourselves today, but tomorrow we shall pick ourselves up and prepare ourselves for Italy next weekend. Then we move onto Team France. A little bit of practice and more concentration (from me at least on reverse tracks) and we can have our day against the French.
This isn't the end of The Flying Dutchmen.
