Vartazian - isn't that a bit harsh? It's easy to say that when you have enough players yourself, but your own team has players from USA, Canada and El Salvador. Team Nordic isn't one nation, the Dutchmen have Connavar from Belgium. But some teams still couldn't get a full squad of 8.

Without the smaller teams there wouldn't be much of a competition. Without certain nations with affiliations joining forces and taking on players from elsewhere etc, the world cup would probably virtually be France vs. England.

Real life professional tournaments are different. This is a game played over the internet and people have real lives at the same time. We have to try and find some way to make this work. As I said, we can learn lessons from it and next time round we can do it differently, perhaps amalgamating teams with fewer players as a requirement or something.

I kind of agree that 2v2 is probably a little too far though. 3v3 should be fine. But I don't really want to start 'punishing' teams considering that this is a fairly loose and relaxed competition in general. There just aren't rigorous enough rules and procedures in place for that. Maybe in the future as the event develops there will be, but we're not at that point yet.

Indeed I was merley stating my views on the way that WWC was being maintained. Last time I checked the requirement was a team of 8 racers to sign up. these teams that sign up with less players are therefore punished if Their lack of avaiable players is their downfall.

I have no problem with Team unisons. TFD Started it, NAWTy Followed and other teams are still picking up people that arent even from their zone. I dont have a problem with that if thats hwat they need for numbers.

But the fact that the first requirement was "Teams of 8" sign up. Then I dont see why a Punishment is unfair for breaking the first rule of sign up.

Its just my POV. I know people wont agree with me. But thats just the way I see things.

Thank you all for replying again. Saturn a big up to you for making things clear and explaning it so nicely. Indeed it is the first time we are organising such a big event online. It is difficult but fun. We will learn a lot from it and it will be even better next year.

Very much agree on the "new" point-system (3p for a victory - 1p for a draw). I must admit, I thought that was the case from the start ..... (I need glasses).
If two teams are equal after the group-matches, we can take a look at a the total amount of points to decide, who´ll be the better placed team.
(Very easy for me to say, I know, after Team Nordic was battered in their first match by some islanders ... )

Mad-Ice hit the nail on the head The first event always includes changes and new ideas. Things wil only improve.

Plus no doubt there will be a new breed of players to get involved next time, so more players and more nations hopefully.

Hopefully even xtriko will get his beloved portugese team together!!

As for the scoring, ive changed it to only 3 points, but we may aswell mention what the overall scores were. So a battering is on show for all to see!

You kept the points Makes me feel as though I contributed something. In the 4 races I did I had a good time, I won't blame Kigo for making me drop out, I'll blame whatever caused that to happen and I hope it doesn't happen to you again.

So whose next on the England hit list? The earlier we organise the less chance we'll have any problems.

Gratulations Team Japan! I'll have to talk to the Team Nordic teammanager about raising morale a bit after that one

    Watch out Scotland!
