Easy boys.
I like your idea about the 8vs8 tourney. If we can get all 16 pilots available at once then I'm sure it'll be fun. We can hold different tourneys before other matches like Feisar31 mentioned. I'll leave that up to you guys to decide; that would include more North American Tourneys which would definitely be fun =D. If there is a lot of interest then we can do that. Let me know.
We might be able to start a new kind of tournament if the feedback is good. Here is a Grand Tour match outline using 4 pilots from each team. The idea is to use both Weapons/No Weapons and create unique events while minimizing lag. Just in case you can't understand the diagram, I'll explain here as well.

There will be a total of 32 races.
At first, the nation teams will split up into teams of 2 and have 8 track tourneys simultaneously. One 2vs2 group will race 8 tracks with weapons while the other 2vs2 group races 8 tracks without weapons. The 8 tracks with weapons will be all forward tracks while the 8 tracks without weapons are the reversed tracks or vice versa.
The second part of the tourney will be an all out 4 vs 4 race to the finish on all 16 tracks with weapons. After all 32 races are over, the team with the most amount of points will win.
This will help make a well-rounded tourney. If my math is right, there are 464 available points in the 4vs4 tourney with an additional 368 in the doubles part. In case you feel you'll have a bad run in the 4vs4 races, you can make up for it in the 2vs2 part. You can use this to your advantage by strategically picking which event a pilot races in. This will take little longer to organize but in the end, there will be less lag, less vista pads, and more fun.
What do you guys think ? Any questions?
