Twas released on the E3 week on the US Store. It's not a sign at all.
What's a sign is Colin saying "expect news soon."
I like seeing screenshots and videos but it doesn't mean the game is getting closer to release (Textbook case: Duke Nukem Forever.)
So I suggest you bookmark the RSS feed of the PlayStation Blog on Firefox and check up on it often.![]()
agreed ProblemSolver, and stop yer hatin' Darkdrium777
its my mistake and I didnt see it before in the store.(I didnt sign into the damn thing since I got wolf 3d, hehe...wich is brilliant offcourse)
Got to admit, it looks pretty in the store. I WANT IT NEXT WEEK!!!
Next week would be wonderful, but it's hard to tell.
One can always hope though.![]()
Gawd, it's going to be such a beautiful game.

If think it's the european PSN in general.
FF7 PS1 Classic has just been released last week, SF2 HD Remix was released only a few weeks (2-3 ?) before SF4, We are still waiting for Bomberman Ultra (well I bought it frm the US Store and it includes french language) ...
I think, At least half of the european users have several PSN account, but I'm not sure about the americans or japaneses.
The fact is every person in a family (that owns a PS3) could create their account and don't forget that PSP players have access to the PSN too.
Am glad I am patient! Lol. I don't mond games taking a while, it usually means they will be better for it. Saying that I don't think Fury will just appear on the Store but there will be an announcement.
Yes, 2 hours before its due.

Some ship info on the playstation euro blog.
Interestingly there will be more news next week as well. That may be interviews and stuff. Looks like the build up is happening though.
you know what ive just discovered on that link,
you can choose your music soundtrack on ship selection screen like in Pulse now, awesome.
Thanks for sharing that link Jambo. It appears that we'll be able to have a more advanced look at the ships in Fury based on the screenshots in David's PS Blog post. As can be seen on this picture (50k warning) it says start race and music playlist. Hopefully that means we can choose our song before the race. The way they redesigned the ships is an interesting read too.
Makes me want this even more, I can't wait![]()

For the sake of completeness; The Fury expansion pack trailer was released
on the UK PSN Store on 2009-07-02. Quite interesting, no dates are given
for videos in the US PSN Store. Additionally, the UK version runs at 60fps.
// WipEout HD Fury Expansion Pack Trailer (HDTV 1080), (60fps, 159 MB)
{Check out this trailer for an introduction to the WipEout HD Fury} [Reference: PSN Store, UK]
expansion pack, the essential add-on that takes one of the biggest
smash hits on Playstation Network and pumps it full of extras content
and enhancements.
The Fury expansion pack comes with eight new tracks and 13 new
ships models, but that's just the beginning. The pack also features
additional Trophies, a restyled menu system and improved multiplayer
functionality.
And there is more; if you looking for a new challenge to test you
anti-gravity racing skills, we've got just the thing right here... Three
new gaming modes - the combat focussed Eliminator, the tactical
Zone Battle and the exhilarating Detonator - are ready and waiting
to see if you've got the talent to call youself a top-class anti-gravity
pilot.
Eliminator and Zone Battle games can be enjoyed online against
other players, and all the ships and game modes featured in the
Fury pack can be played on your original WipEout HD tracks.
Visit eu.playstation.com for more info on WipEout HD and the
Fury expansion pack, both available exclusive from Playstation
Store.
...
Well, I'm not a native english speaker, but I would write 'both available
exclusive from Playstation Store' only if they (actually Fury) are really
available or very very close to become available. In my eyes Fury is On
and the only thing left to be done is to craft the us/eu-blog entry.
Having watched the trailer for just awhile, I questions myself whether the
original HD tracks will now also feature realtime shadow maps instead of
those pre-baked shadows? For sure, shadow maps come with a drawback,
they consume a lot of video memory and all the projected shadows do have
jaggies on their edges, but shadow maps do add depth! Within WipEout HD
almost all shadows were pre-computed with the result that these shadows
couldn't influence the lighting of a craft once it passes into an area laying
in shadows. Of course there is some modulation of the lighting if you pass
into such an area, but it doesn't behave as one would expect. Some time
ago I remarked that WipEout HD lacks depth, because I always had the
feeling that the craft isn't 'there'. One way to add depth is by using
shadow maps. And this is what SL has done with Fury. Shadow maps allow
to project an objects' shadow onto another (possibly moving) one. Hence,
with Fury we now see shadows projected onto the surface of a craft, which
is nice! But remember those jaggies, they are the price to pay for the
added depth. The PS3s RSX simply doesn't have enough video memory to
hold hi-res shadow maps. When in Photo Mode you will have to remember
this!![]()
Anyways, I prefere shadows maps over pre-baked shadows. That is to say,
I got used to low-res shadow maps on the PS3. xD It's the way it is. SL has
done a pretty good (amazing?) job in trying to get the most out of it. At a
technical level WipEout HD Fury is one of the best games, if not the best
one!

Beautiful coverage, PS. This definitely intrigues if not creates my photography interests with the amazing quality the game's going to come through at. The only dilemma is going to be deciding what kind of background I want! The appeal of head-to-head AG ships really capturing the heat of the race and just going into a turn of a beautiful part of the track is at the top of my list right now.
It seems almost the entire sport of this racing league has picked up a new sponsor, and for the better. What with all these new models of all our favorite ships. And new modes you're just going to have an endless amount of fun on. I can't wait. This is not something I've really ever seen before in DLC. There's something for everyone. I've got a feeling we don't have much more wait left in us. I wonder if when we're playing it'll say on peoples friends list "Wipeout Fury" instead of "Wipeout HD"
Well if it comes in the next two weeks I won't be able to play it on launch
Nice post PS![]()
Thanks for the article and stuff, good read
At least I can now understand what the designers thought when they created the Fury ships. Still, IMO, they look ugly. Yep. Damn ugly.
If you want to creaty depth, there is no need to cut the ship into so many parts that it looks like the factory wasn't able to produce plates that fit into each other nicely.
Good that they chose Feisar for showing the theory behind it, as it is one of the better looking Fury ships (if not the only one).
I don't want to put the designers down; they achieved what they intended, so the result is pretty good seen under these aspects. Technically it's good work anyway - SL delivers a pretty good Job with WOHD here.
And yes, I know Fury focusses on battle so the design may fit; but still: after all it's WipEout and not Star Wars.
So where are those voices that yelled at Fusions ship designs?
