Announcement: TLD TOURNAMENT this Friday, October 9th at 16H30 GMT. Taking votes till Friday, October 9th, 13H00 GMT! I will make up a tournament mode according to the voting results. See you on the track!(any psp cpu clock (don't use cheats!
) allowed)
The Role...
We represent you the TeamLink Division, the first official team racing league on Pulse (and Pure from now, I hope), exclusively here, on WipeoutZone Arena!
The sessions are open for all Pulse/Pure racers. Anyone who wants to participate on the scheduled meeting, just PM me.. The one will be given the password so he can participate on the session.
Available modes for now:
- 2v2 (2 teams racing, consisting of two pilots for each team)
- 2v2v2 (3 teams racing, consisting of two pilots for each team)
- 3v3 (2 teams racing, consisting of three pilots for each team)
- 2v2v2v2 (4 teams racing, consisting of two pilots for each team)
- 4v4 (2 teams racing, consisting of four pilots for each team)
Points scheme and teaming up:
- For 2v2 mode: 4th/3rd/2nd/1st = 1/3/5/7 (*hint*: place = points awarded) (team 1 = 4th+1st; team 2 = 3rd+2nd)
- For 2v2v2 mode: 6th/5th/4th/3rd/2nd/1st = 1/3/4/5/6/8 (team 1 = 8th+1st; team 2 = 6th+3rd; team 3 = 5th+4th)
- For 4v4 mode: 8th/7th/6th/5th/4th/3rd/2nd/1st = 1/3/4/5/6/7/8/10 (team 1 = 8th+6th+3rd+1st; team 2 = 7th+5th+4th+2nd)
- For 3v3 mode: 6th/5th/4th/3rd/2nd/1st = 1/3/4/5/6/8 (team 1 = 6th+4th+1st; team 2 = 5th+3rd+2nd)
- Others will be decided after they are tested
- Eliminations (DNF) count as zero points!
- Network disconnections and other problems of the same nature count as one point!
The Teams:
The teams can be assembled before events (if the two or three pilots decide that they want to be in the same team), or they can be "shuffled" by doing a 4-race qualifications (zargz, thank you for the great idea!), where, in case of a 2v2 mode, the winner of the qualification tournament teams the last placed pilot, and the 2nd placed pilot teams the 3rd placed one. The analogue is for other modes.
The Race Tracks:
The tracks can be chosen manually or automatically shuffled by the custom-made c# console application. Either with or without weapons is fine.
The Participants List needs to be done at least 24 hours before the event OR by time set by organiser, to allign and prepare everything, and to avoid an odd number of pilots. Please, try to confirm your participation within the time given.
Chat Sessions (our dearest)
We usually prefer to use msn to contact eachother and make chat sessions to do spaces between the races more fun and joke-rich.
Other option is the irc channel, which I can create.
IMPORTANT: I suggest to everyone that we use some chatrooms like msn or irc ones. That way we can have information that everything is going smooth or if someone's having problems with his connection or PSN (which is usually the case) so we have to wait for him. Please, read the next little tutorial if you don't want to use msn: (this is completely free and no registration needed!)
- Go to: http://www.mibbit.com/
click on: "Start chatting now"
under IRC choose: Freenode (or some other server; I will write you in the PM)
Enter your nickname (please use the existing one, from this forums)
under channel (right of nickname entry) enter #tld-tournament (or some other channel name; I will write you in the PM)
when you connect, choose the tab (it's the name of the channel)
--more info soon!
#the ideas are well appreciated, always!
: this is how it looked like on the first two test sessions, which went awesome!

Let the Wipeout Pulse/Pure revival begin!
