Does anyone know if a PSP-1000 imported from Japan (bought a few months after the PSP launch) is worth anything now? I'd like to have a slim one instead, but for the use I'd make of it, I'm not willing to spend many bucks...

If it's in good working conditions, it will interest loads of people (homebrew programs, mods, etc). I wouldn't be surprised if you got more than 100$ for it. Myself I would recommend you keep it, it's very precious for reasons you probably don't know/don't care about, but it is very precious.
