It might not be 100% of the original but it should be close enough if it's reverse engineered or something. Then it's simply scaling it up again. Although it may not be so simple because you only have the shape and not the actual data that generated the track in the first place, so you'll have to re-create that data... Hmm theories theories.
That's assuming you actually managed to create a program to reverse engineer stuff from the older games(Which is definitely possible, I've seen it done in Java for Unreal Tournament
