It looks like it will be applicable only for Resistance Retribution and probably newer titles. WipEouts would need to be patched, and we all know this has a very slim chance of happening...

yeah darkdrium I noticed that too. It would be great if sony could just add this function through a new firmware, for retro-compatibility too, but I guess things aren't so simple. I was wondering : it could be a fantastic new DLC for pulse!!!

I would think that they would make it compatible with older games, making everything match the buttons on a dual shock shouldn't be too difficult (with two extra buttons)

If this is firmware based then yes, it can be done for all games. Sadly, it appears this is only done for Resistance, so it's game based (Like custom music on the PS3), so it is not applicable for all games...

Yes hopefully Al.
I too don't understand why Sony can't do an official 333Mhz fix for all games if Dark_Alex can do it for custom firmware... :/
