Ouch... 5 hours?! :S

Yea, its a direct feed. I play in SD and use an old 'Dazzle Platinum' USB capture device.

It's a right headache though, since it uses some mpeg-2 codec that won't open in movie maker and virtualdub. So I had to download a specially edited version of VirtualDub to open and recompress them a bit more (180mb -> 80mb). Other problems include the video files it outputs being reported as 720x576 whereas they are actually 1024x576, . So, I have to also resize them (although no actual resizing occurs) to somehow fix the issue of it telling video players to play it at some stupid res. :S
