Looking good so far Seek100, keep up the good work ^_^

Well, I'm back from my (totally deserved) exile. To begin with, here's (a smaller version of ) the image I posted that quite rightly got me banned. I had included a long apology about how it was just a modified Feisar skin with some boldinated colours and to Fascia for the fact that I had unwittingly copied him. Anyway, Dogg's union flag Feisar encouraged me to post this, which is the skin I usually race in in the single-player campaign, nothing exciting, but I quite like it.

So, aside from that, in my exile I have been working on something else. With the upcoming English language version of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, I couldn't help but feel that one FFVII skin wasn't enough, so I made this:



A Feisar tribute to the ever-so-short-lived Tiny Bronco. Something totally different to the previous retro skins I've been making. While they were what I would consider very simple and fairly effective this one was very complicated to do and somehow not so effective. It took a heck of a lot of work in terms of colour management and in creating the weathered painjob in the reddish sections entirely using MSPaint's pencil tool, and while I think it's almost certainly my most technically advanced skin I'm somehow not pleased with the result. I think it's missing something. Anyhow, here are some more detailed views:

And AAX, those are some nice skins, I have to say I prefer Fascia's version of the Chibby-Feisar (spelling?) His looked more 'clean' but yours is good too and the Union Flag and the beloved EU flag are nicely done.

The FF stuff is totally lost on me - hate the games, but that is one sweet skin you've made there that rust effect must have taken hours.

Anyway, I got bored of grinding Scourge in WPL on Warcrack so I put some Sisterhood and Sisters of Mercy on, cranked it up and got back to work resulting in:



I've just got to add a Feisar logo and pilot markings, I'm gonna do one with Sophia de la Renté's markings like the original image to publish and then one more personalised which I'll hoard like a greedy so and so.

When you switch to the colour picker there are copy & paste icons at the bottom of the editor. So from there you just click copy to get it to the clip board and then paste it into your image editor of choice.

...and from there? How do you paste the image from the clipboard to the skin editor? I've tried and it won't let me.

I should make something other than a Feisar skin every now and then.

Anyway, I've been trying for quite a while to come up with something to use as my own racing skin that looks original but also that really fits the team design. I think I've finally come up with something I like:

Yeah, I tried that but it wouldn't do anything. Does it have to be a particular file?

You don't want to copy the actual file, it's just the flat image that you need to select and copy.

Sure:

Open your image in Microsoft paint. Press ctrl+A (a dotted line should appear around the outside of the image) then ctrl+c. Then go into the editor, click the pallette followed by the clipboard icon.

GTAce, can’t wait to see what you will come up for that Solaar Qirex. It is going to be quite a challenge do to the new shape of the ship. So far I can’t imagine anything more then a green Qirex.

Seek100, wonderful Feisar, beautiful in deed looks just like the one in the front screen of W’O’’1. I never understood why did they made different designs for the Video and for the in game. Really good work especially if you think there isn’t much visual reference for that design.

AXX, be careful in the future. It is really a shame not to have you around for something that can be avoided. Better use the icon so this way you won’t have to worry about posting images to big by mistake.
I like the Faisar ( the first one ) just as I liked Fascias which I believe to be the most clean personalization so far . It probably doesn’t matter but if you look here

you can see the Xios logo. So I believe the “Chiby” is in fact EG-X’s mascot, not Feisar’s.
For the Tiny Bronco , as usual only superlatives as each and every time you bring us a new concept. I have no idea haw you picture these things up. Without seeing the Feisar I wouldn’t even link the 2 ships for the same pattern . they are so different in shape.
As for your last Feisar skin, it is absolutely better then the Chiby one, I guess if you can it would look nicer if you could ad some …dirt? I mean the kind of wear that forms from smoke and blasts.
Also one question: QirexAXX in a Feisar ?!?!! I thought you are racing Qirex!
Oh, one more thing : how are things going with the WO3 collection. I’m still waiting for your version of the Assegai, AGS, Icaras & Auricom.

Kanar, welcome to the Zone, lovely ship design, especially the last one in snake scales. Brasil ? I too wondered about this when it appeared in the 3rd. initially it was Chinese and it brought much more secrecy in it’s image.

Zargz, haw can you say what your speed class is ? I reached the 3rd grid of Phantom and I can’t really say I have much trouble winning. On the other hand in Pure I sure sweat for a gold at rapier. I mean is there a way in saying “I’m that good as to be called a [speed-class] pilot”?

As for my self I have begun to upgrade a bit my Blue Grin design as I still have some colors available. Hopefully around Monday I’ll be able to come up with some pictures.

Well i'm new to the custom skinning scene, but here is my first attempt on an assegai, I really need to "dirty" it up, and add in some more detail, it just seems too plain at the moment, any suggestions?

as mentioned there is now a "Retro/Remake" catagory for skins, theres no subcatagories in there so if you do say a Wip3out style Feisar then youd post it there etc

ive moved all the relevant skins into there aswell so if you think yours is missing thats where it is, cheers
