Dogg Thang,………..I’ve been thinking for over five minutes of some words that would express what I’m feeling right now. The thing is that ….I’m going to say just “Thank you!” because no words could express just haw much I love that Triakis and haw grateful I am for not giving up and finishing it just because I asked you to.
Yes I will use it up to the point where it will become my my personal skin and I believe many others will.
I guess I’m going to call it Cheryl after Harry Mason’s step daughter

    ***
Dogg, I just remembered : in game, the flesh of the Silent Hill monsters was shiny, remember the face of the nurses ?, just as the Triakis does so it is even more true to the game, what if it is not made of rusted iron but rather rotten meat with metal interlaced? It is gorgeous
    -----------------------

GTAce , yes it looks better, much better , and the goteki is a nice idea, but I believe the golf is still your best skin so far.

Here it is ...unfinished, I am now realizing how unfinished this is as I was not going for the bowling pin look.
    47KB

Some other angles if you're curious:

    Live the dream

    Top Right Front

    Right Rear

    Top Front

EDIT: doesn't look all that bad (bowling pin-esque) in dimly lit areas

    Lets Be Friends

    A closer look/The Flags

    another 1

    Another 2

Nice design, DMC. I was playing around with something similar (mostly white AGS)-- New York folks must think alike

As others have said in this thread, I think simple designs-- in particular, designs that emphasize bright, solid colors-- work best practically for identifying racers on the courses. It's really fun to see the more complex designs as reprinted here, or as seen before races in the menu screen... but only the bright solid colors show up well during actual races.

It has been asked previously, in another thread, but I have yet to see a response-- has SL indicated whether skins for concept ships and zone ships will eventually be availabe? I'd love to have one for the zone ship in particular

actually its an off-white, I tried to find the closest I could to a metalic (stainless steel ) texture/color.

In fact, its an extremely light pink

Yes, you're right! The nurses in SH2 had a shine that is actually very similar to the Triakis. So maybe it works after all. Really glad you like it!

Nice skin q_dmc12. Love the colours, and really works well on the AG-Sys. Nice pix too.... Amphiseum works really well for those great Jump shots doesn't it?

Yes, very much so - it is my new favorite track. I am suprised how well it plays in the phantom class.

Here's a skin I made for CR4SH3D, with a lot of his guidance and creative input. I won't be publishing it, since it's personalised and CR4SH3D's to do with as he sees fit.

    Nice, very clean!
Respect for that work but im still astonished how you make it look high res.
Is it possible to change the resolutuion of the original skin?
I know that it works in Live for Speed but not sure here.

Nope, I think you just get to learn tricks to smooth off edges and stuff, and also get to grips with the limits of what kinds of things you can and can't actually achieve at the given resolution. If you look on a couple off the dividing lines between panels on the body, they're actually really blocky and were causing me a few problems, but by significantly reducing the contrast between the highlights and lowlights, they sort of merged much more convincingly.

Also, the way the textures are rendered in game is slightly more sophisticated than how they are in the editor, somehow - I don't know how it works. So skins always look better in game or in the Save? [ Y / N ] screen than in the main editor.

looks to me that if you do it ofline the huge pixles of the online editor magically disappear!
