Thanks jasmin. Do I get a star for eating supper at the same time I did my fastest lap? Managing to eat while enduring internal view barrel roll motion sickness is a wipeout skill...
And, I want to know where all the other slow people are, there shouldn't just be super pilots in a speed lap challenge. Come on people, let's make DP do more work putting times in order!

Ignore the BoostBR because it's not a very good one, likewise with the long left-hander at the end of the lap.

Well, i gave-up SL challenge just for that reason.
When i first started doing this, back in the summer,there was competition for all places, not only for the 1st.
Lately it became a challenge for the WR... lol
I might give this chal a go though later since i kinda like amphiseum.

Mm I think everyone should join in. It takes what, 10-15 minutes to get a time that you can at least be semi-happy with. That's not a very long time considering you have a week to do it. Little competitions between players, increasing your feel for the game with crazy ship choices in classes that you might not be used to. I think it very much broadens one's perpective of the game....and it's fun ^_^

It took me around 800 laps once to get the same time as Guillaume (was kind of challenge).
For me, this was very time consuming... and currently I'm consuming time with Borderlands

Well I can't get the BR at the last corner without using the turbo there...so I switched to the turbo at the ledge method and got to 26.23. 9 speed pads, two BR. DreamyElf, I'll fight for last place with you! I actually thought you'd posted 26.13 so I was trying to get that low.

you say wher are all the slow pilots..well they are here all 30 or so of them they just do it and dont post cos they are scared the ten players who do post their times will laugh when they actually wont..

all you gotta do is check out the records and see wierd ships featuring in the speed lap choice for that week.

last night i saw quite a few mirage records had appeared but they did not post..

you gotta remember you may be the slowest who posted at present but your still one of the top 100 fast players...well assuming you got top 100 which i would of thought your time would have got you..

The challenge is all about improving your own personal racing style and experimenting with different things which you may not usually do. Everybody who has a go is respected and there is no sense of elitism here.

thats so right dp89..ive learnt loads of new moves doing speed lap challenge.quite a bit of it i actually use now in regular races..with ease and sometimes i have won a race simply down to pulling off a speed lap challenge move...

before speed lap challenge i would have said use that move and your going to crash..

also due to speed lap challenge i can use every ship now..no ship is a bad ship to me its simply down to what colour do i fancy using to night..

Damnit I need to work on my line here... anyways that'll have to do for now as my nerves are frayed and my hands are shot plus the fact I havent slept in a long damn while so I dont think I'll be improving any on this one this week.

fun little thing this challenge though. I might get more into it I think.
