Default Wipeout 3 - Japanese ver

Just arrived. I read this was the best version of all, but I can't, now, find where... Hmmm...

Hope it runs on my long-ago modd'ed PSX-1001.

I had said this. The physics are the best. You do not get the out of control bouncing of 3se, its a bit more forgiving on slightly clipped turns, the stats for Icaras and assegai are better, and it runs smoother than the pal or 3se version. It has the fast speed boosts of 3se in specific places. It's doesnt have all the turbo scraping of the turbo scraping as well, which is great. I still wish someone had figured out how to swap the classic tracks from 3se with the wo3 tracks from this version. It could be a two disk set

I know you could swap out tracks in wp3 se itself if you made a decent rip and a good program (like ultraiso). It might just work since the games load the tracks in the same way, but the stats will all be messed up unless if you modify that as well on the hex editor. But I don't have both so I can't test it...

That's if we consider that swapping track files is enough. Unless one of the former devs reads this topic and approves this method, at best what we could do is trying to swap files and cross our fingers that it doesn't mess up everything.
