Unhappy Wip3out-SE on the PS3 - virtual memory card problem

Wip3out-SE works well on a PS3, as everybody knows, besides the fact that you can´t use a NegCon...
You can choose between two different virtual memory cards for the PS1 and PS2 - I´ve tried both, but the saving progress didn´t work for me.
Everytime I saved my status, no obvious problem appeared, but next time I started W3O: the virtual memory cards were empty!
    They didn´t save anything.

Had any other pilot a similar problem? Did I do something wrong?

Have you tried any other games? If not, I'd go for any other game that doesn't use any sort of Engine related to wipEout. Might be the problem.

Thank you for your suggestion, mdhay! The only PS1 game I own is Wip3out-SE...and there´s no one I know, who could lend me such a game.

Anyway, even if it would save the status from another game which isn´t WO-engine related, it still wouldn´t save my W3O progress.
But I appreciate your proposal for solution!

Well, there's not much besides that that I can think of.

Have you assigned a slot to the virtual memory card? once youve created one from the XMB sometimes you have to press the PS button once youve booted up the game and assign the memory card a memory slot?

    hope that helps

Oh, I´ve never heard of that, but it could be a solution.

Hi mate! I´m sorry, I haven´t checked it out yet. Lack of spare time...
Renn and me are moving together, but the PS3 is still at her place. But this weekend I´ll give it a try!
