2006-08-20: New members placed in moderation queue

Due to the sheer volume of spammers registering accounts here on WipeoutZone forums, I've made a change to the registration process that will require user-moderation before they are placed in the active members group.

Although new users will not be able to post until they have been given the all clear, this should happen in under 24 hours and will tighten the net on the scumbags who register solely to hawk viagra.

Good idea Rob! Haven't seen too many spammers lately - I assume the moderators are way faster than me in detecting these guys...

I guess this change is only for people who want to register for the forums and not for the timetable registration?

I noticed that myself - I don't know if Chill originally registered for the time tables then forgot his password. Either way, it has no impact on the forum.
